Great upgrade for cheaper “standard” bags
Recently purchased the Teton Oasis 22l. Great bag but the bladder was terrible. This product is great. It fits in my Teton just fine. The material is good quality and after a wash and lemon juice treatment, the water tastes clean. The handle is a lot more useful than I would have thought. Great leverage spot for filling and cleaning. The magnetic clip is great but the hose isn’t so long that I felt it necessary. Ymmv but I certainly am not complaining about it. Time will tell with durability but it feels solid and designed with intention.I’ve read reviews about the baffles inside minimizing water sloshing around. I remove excess air by flipping it upside down (after closing and sealing it) and sucking out the air. I can’t speak to their effectiveness but they certainly aren’t hurting anything.I’ll continue to use some form of pack liner in my hydration pocket in case of failure but so far I feel confident that it won’t fail.

A great product with amazing customer support!
I bought my first Hydrapak over 10 years ago. It finally sprung a leak this summer but I had used it a lot. I bought a new one on Amazon and can see that they have made a few small improvements on an already fabulous product. Amazingly I was on they’re website to see what offerings they had and saw their lifetime warranty so I sent them a photo of the leaking, 10 year old bladder. I just received a warranty replacement for no charge. I have several of the leading brand (CB) in all shapes and sizes that all leak from the big round screw cap. The Hydrapak is so much easier to seal and to clean. Once you have one of these, you won’t turn back.

Wow! Very Impressed
I am very impressed by the HydraPak Shape-Shift water bladder.First, for anyone wondering, the quick disconnect is perfectly compatible with the Osprey quick connectors.Second, I really like the top fill design much better than the traditional fill design with the large screw cap on the front (like camelbak). It is much easier to fill, especially while the bladder is still in the backpack.Third, the shape is much better than traditional bladders; it is rectangular instead of trapezoidal and is easier to fit into a larger variety of bladder compartments.Fourth, I really like the quick disconnect. I can disconnect the hose without the bladder leaking. This is especially useful as it allows removing the bladder from a backpack while leaving the hose in place on the backpack (no fishing it out and back in again!).Fifth, I absolutely love that I can turn it inside out and it’s top-rack dishwasher safe! This makes it so much easier to clean. The material seems rugged, but not as stiff as traditional bladders, so I’ll have to see just how durable it is. But I don’t expect any issues since it is always used inside backpacks with dedicated bladder holders where it is well protected. The low-profile feature was a little difficult to engage at first; it is similar to a zip-loc connection. However, after applying a small amount of the included food-grade silicon lubricant, it was much easier to manipulate.

Easy to fill, use, clean, and dry. Leak free.
I’ve owned several other hydration bladders before. They’re usually in the style with the big giant screw-on lid on one side near the top (see: Camelpak). It’s very difficult to get those completely full of water. With this Hydrapak Contour bladder and the zip top, you can fill it completely full of water. There’s no wasted space. And it’s easier to fill because it’s actually the top and not just the side. I’m even confident enough to fill it while it’s still in my pack.Leak free. No leaking here so far. Not from the zip top, not from the hose connection, and not from the bite valve. They do say you occasionally have to lubricate the o ring for the hose connection and they do include the lubricant for them, so kudos to them for the transparency, instructions, AND the lubricant. The bite valve locks as well which is great.Sturdy. The material is very sturdy and they were thoughtful enough to add a handle to hold it steady. They also were smart enough to add places to hook the pack up inside your backpack on top of the zip lid. Phenomenal quality.Cleaning is easy. You can turn the thing inside out if you need to for goodness sakes. That ALSO makes it super easy to dry, which is not something I have been able to say about any other water bladder. Ever.I only wish they offered a dust cover for the mouth piece, because those do get dusty and dirty. The magnet clip is a bit of a gimmick, it’s not really necessary.

Great bladder and customer service
This is a very well designed bladder and it’s excellent quality. Their customer service is excellent for warranty issues. I will definitely purchase this brand again in the future. Taste is good. It fits well in my UWSE pack.

Nice upgrade to earlier model
I’ve had a prior version of this item in my Kriega hydration pack for some time but just bought a new backpack and wanted a new HydraPak for that. It’s mostly the same but now comes with a clip that you can use to hang it from if your pack has a thin strap hangar. My backpack has a thick strap so I had to remove the clip and use the slot like in the older model but I could see the use for this. I have a day pack that has one of the thin hanging loops so I can use this item in that pack. The clip is very easy to put on or take off. The top opening is different and has more sealing than the old one but I never had an issue with the old one. And now they include a small pack of food safe silicone lubricant. The old one didn’t and it was very hard to open and close the top and same for the bite valve. That was a common problem and like many others I already had bought that kind of lubricant. But it’s nice that they realized there was an issue. And I didn’t need to lubricate for initial use because there was no issue opening and closing it. Other one was very hard to open and close when brand new.

These are absolutely fantastic!Weâve tried other hydration bladders in the past and they were awkward to fit into our bags but the hose on the side is so much better! They do not leak! The valve is stiff at first but gets easier with use to move back and forth.10/10 would absolutely recommend these
