Great Chair Yoga DVD!
I thoroughly like this Chair Yoga DVD. There are 9 different routines available that range from under 20 minutes to 70 minutes in duration and that range in level of “difficulty” (nothing here has a high difficulty level but is perfect for most body types and ability levels) from very easy asanas (postures) done exclusively in the chair to other routines that are moderately challenging and that may include up to 35% or so of the postures that are done standing, but while using the chair as an aid if you choose to. (wow, that was a LONG sentence!)The narration/instruction is excellent as is the background music. In the longer routines, there is also a generous amount of time allowed for “a final relaxation (savasana)” and some routines also may also have an opening centering or breathing activity.I LOVE this DVD!!! It is my favorite chair yoga DVD (and I have many!) I highly recommend it!My only question is this: There is an “a la carte” menu that seems to have each individual asana accessible separately. These dozens of asanas seem to be the “source material” that the 9 routines cull from on this dual layer DVD. Other than going to select asanas individually for, say further explanation or practice of that individual asana, is there anything else that can be done with these a la carta asanas such as arranging them into a customized, savable sequence? Feel free to comment or reply. Thanks! The liner notes don’t seem to address this.Once again! FANTASTIC DVD!

I’m sur it’s fine for people who can do those things
I thought this would be much more chair bound as I am disabled and was looking for yoga stretching exercises. However, this has many poses that require a chair to lean on. I’m sur it’s fine for people who can do those things, but not exactly what I was looking for.

Nicely paced. Good chair adaptations of classic yoga.
I heard about this chair DVD from a teacher friend who has been using it to get ideas for seniors yoga classes, and having recently purchased Mr.Wolf’s “Savasana” CD, I thought I’d give this a try. I wasn’t disappointed. The layout is interesting: There’s a basic menu with several practice sequences arranged according to ability and duration, but also a clever “a la carte” menu you can use to design your own practice sessions. I’ve especially enjoyed the meditation/breathing sequences. On a lot of the segments there are two people demonstrating the chair yoga adaptation with a third person on the floor demonstrating a more traditional yoga version. I should also mention that the background music is a cut above what you hear on a lot of these videos. From what I’ve seen, so far, this DVD should hold my interest for a while. I would buy this again. I attached a screen shot of the main menu.

It is a good video overall
It is a good video overall. Was disappointed that on some of the poses or sequences as the person not using a chair was not shown. The reason I purchased was because it was for both with & without a chair for me to be able to do it with my disabled husband. Also they ask you to move the chair to different positions rather quickly before next sequence on some which could be a problem for some. Do enjoy doing it with my husband couple times a week. I am getting better at filling in the spots that don’t show the without chair person.

Clear instruction, amazing music!
This yoga DVD is awesome! Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Poses are demonstrated on the chair but also on the floor. Steve’s voice is calm and meditative and he gives just the right amount of instruction so it doesn’t detract from the flow.As for the music, it is inspirational and harmonizes so well with the movements and poses, and continues even on the menu pages. It would be worth getting this DVD just for the music!I don’t know what happened to the DVD sent to the person who claimed there was no music during the yoga. Seriously, if there’s a problem with the one you received, do get a replacement copy because the music is so beautiful!

THIS IS THE BEST CHAIR YOGA PRACTICE I HAVE SEEN
I have studied yoga for more than fifty years; teaching for 20 yrs & this is the best chair yoga I have found. Recently I discovered I have severe scoliosis & can no longer do a lot of what I used to; some days are better than others. So I have been changing up what I do & since some mornings I feel very fragile. This morning I did the Gentle Sequence on this dvd & it felt great to my body. There are two people in a chair & one sitting on the floor. The instructor has a great voice to lead the class & it is done at a perfect speed. As I do the other sequences I will come back & add to my review. In the meantime, if you need some chair yoga this dvd is the best.

found better videos on utube
it was very repetitive and I personally didn’t care for the routines.

Interesting and relaxing
It works well for me. Not high paced but gentle. If you need something easy going like I do this is for you. Different levels, so there should be something for everyone.
