I was almost going to return until…
Pretty cheaply made, but it does work. Light weight. I located the problem on mine, that may help you. The silver contraption that holds the 2 AA batteries was a smidge too big and there was no connection to make it illuminate. Even tho it looked like a perfect fit.I cut a tiny piece of cardboard (not as thick as from a mailing box, but from the back of a note pad). I slipped it outside of the contraption to snuggle the silver battery holder tight. This product definitely took some beating from me before I located the problem, and still works like a champ.

Really cute but not really bright
Itâs super cute for dorm decor but the battery life is really bad. You only get about a week to two weeks before itâs completely out. The brightness is also kinda dim but it works for decor. I put it in my dorm hallway so we could see our way to the restroom and it does next to nothing to help us see. But I mainly got it to display so itâs perfect for me.

Didn’t work, but we fixed it
We put batteries in it on the day of need (retirement party) and it didn’t work. Fortunately we had some people in the office who could take it apart and rewire/fix it. Otherwise would have been complete fail/waste of money. Lesson learned: always check out these cheapie electronics the day you get them so have time to return if/when broken.It’s not terribly sturdy. I would not use it for kids room decor, as suggested in the listing.
