This comedy movie show a reality dark side of America history during the 60s era
This comedy movie I find it very enjoyable to watch. Although I have a good time laughing, this movie isn’t just about college student Friz (the cat) getting high on a pot and getting laid to random female but also an underlying message about America history of society well as social problems at that time during the 1960s era where there is civil unrest, white cops against black people (police brutality), race problems between white and black people, first-generation of liberated women opened mind about sex and doing sexual acts, the first generation of Neo-Nazi people, and abusive relationship (dating partner or spouse) that still happened today.I rate this 5 out of 5 because this movie is very good at portraying our society in America that is still happened today as it was back to the 60s. THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR CHILDREN.

    Americana of the 60s
I can’t believe I missed out onCant believe i never watched this in the 80s. This movie is not recommended for children adults only. Movie has deep undertones and was first cartoon to receive a x rating. Without this movie I don’t think we would have the Simpson’s, South Park, family guy ect… It paved the way and I’m so glad I got to see it.

    Enjoyably Offensive
One of my all-time favorite movies. It’s not one of the best films ever made and a lot of people would be outraged by all the illicit content- nudity, religion, race, politics, drugs, abuse, violence, and activism- but that just makes its irreverence all the more appreciable. It doesn’t have any answers to any of the topics it touches upon, only criticisms and humor, and that’s more than enough to be a good time. Not a movie to watch with your kids or your parents, this film is best enjoyed with alcoholic beverages and a bunch of furries.

For adults only…adults who like the darker side of things
First, this is for adults only. Second, for adults who like dark humor and anime old school style. If neither of these fit you, don’t bother watching.I vaguely remember hearing about Fritz throughout the years, so I thought I’d give the movie a shot (he’s more from my parents generation). What to expect? Sex, drugs, violence, good music, characters with little to no morals, stereotypes, genitalia of the characters in anime form, and things along those lines. You’re gonna either “get” this film or be lost as to wtf you’re watching. Just remember, the era when this was made/what was happening in the world, this alone might help you understand.I introduced this movie to two people- both younger adults who loved the film. One bought it and watched it with his father, who remembers Fritz and couldn’t believe his son had bought the film. Wonder if the film makers ever thought a father and son would share a bonding moment over Fritz?I enjoyed most of the film, but not something I’ll watch again. I would recommend it if you enjoy dark humor and adult anime. If you are easily offended, stay away.

    Trippy x-rated time capsule
I found myself surprised just how raunchy ‘Fritz the Cat’ gets. Let’s just say there are parts of a pig, a cow, a crow, etc. that you’ve never cared to see on display here. If there’s a reason to see this, it’s probably not that, nor for its sort of meandering, episodic storyline. Rather, it’s worthwhile to travel back in time and see the early 70s (itself looking back at the 60s) from an angle that you don’t always get to see quite this closely. In particular, it’s just interesting to hear them talk. Even the R-rated flicks of the time always seemed fairly sugarcoated to me, and I suspect what we hear spoken here is how these decades actually sounded at ground level. Not just because of the profanities, but because of how naturalistic everyone sounds.By the way, I appreciate that the streaming copy retained the “This film has been rated X” card after the end credits.

    Adult animation at it’s best
Fritz the Cat is an audacious foray into an x-rated world of animation based on the 60’s characters of Robert Crumb. This is not a cartoon for the kiddies. It brought me back to that time in my life when R. Crumb and underground comics were symbolic of that era.

Perfect condition. haven’t bought a VHS since I was a kid. It’s great to know there’s still reliable sellers. I’ve wanted to own this one since I was a kid (I wasn’t allowed for obvious reasons lol).Very happy with it
