Two cats: We bought 2 mats and have used them for almost 2 months in our new home and its working great. We repaired carpet in our last house. The mats are so much better and wished I had known about it when we had the previous house. Cats know where the door opens (first photo) so I just scooted the mat towards the opening. Finally A Solution
Iâm so pleased this product has stopped my cat from scratching at the carpet at night. My partner and I unfortunately have to lock our cat out of our bedroom at night. One of the first few nights we did it, she scratched up a patch of carpet underneath the door pretty badly. If she scratched it like that another night, I knew the carpet would be completely ruined, so I started putting a huge cardboard box in front of the bedroom door every night as well as an old rug and her favorite scratching post. (The things we do for cats.)I was a bit upset when this product first arrived because it didnât fit right even though I measured my door and bought the correct size. I had to cut out a certain portion of the middle in order for it to fit right up against my doorframe, but luckily it was pretty easy to cut. I was also a bit worried because it doesnât really stick well to the carpet and I was afraid my cat would be able to move it around and start scratching again, but she hasnât even tried doing so. Iâm so happy to have all that other stuff out of my hallway now and am relieved she wonât be able to scratch at that corner anymore. This product is pricey, but worth it.

Got the 32 for my 32 inch door. There is a slight gap at the edge in the corners, howver this hasn’t been an issue as of yet. Have had it in for about 1.5 weeks so far and while my cat has investigated it and tried to scratch at it, he gave up within a few days as can’t get to the carpet now. Hasn’t even tried for those exposed corners. This has been a massive saver for me as my cat was doing some serious damage to the carpet. Just wish I’d bought it sooner. Came slightly bent, put it in warm water as per instructions, now it’s perfectly flat. Definitely recommend.
