I got this to replace a plastic water fountain and have found that this has great durability and seems better for my catâs health. The one downside is that the calcifications of the water can be hard to clean – but everything else is easy and my cat absolutely loves this fountain. She wonât drink from anything else! Easy to clean. Quiet. Have a cat that is finicky about water. He will drink from this. It has some weight to it and a wide base so my cat cannot turn it over. Holds enough water that we can go away for 4 days and not worry that our cat will have no water left when we get back. I hand clean it but the metal parts could probably go in the dishwasher. It does have two different types of filters but it is not cost prohibitive.

I bought this fountain because one of my cats is extremely particular about her drinking water and will refuse to drink if it’s not presented properly. This works! She happily drinks from it. My small dog (silly tzu) also uses it l, but is still a bit afraid of the fountain portion. Set up was fairly easy and the directions were written well. Comes with 2 extra filters. It’s also very quiet! We were worried about the motor being too loud, but it’s not. You only hear the water pouring and that is fairly quiet as well.
