2 out of my 3 cats used it right away
So glad I took a chance and ordered this scratch mat set. It came with a tiny bag of cat nip so I sprinkled some on it to make it more attractive and 2 out of my 3 cats have used it several times now. They even sit on it sometimes. It is long enough (30â) for them to stretch out and sharpen their nails. They havenât used the scratch box yet, but did go in it to check it out. I donât know how long it will last since it is made out of cardboard (corrugated) at this time but Iâm hoping for a while. They seem to love it.

I have have one of those (very common) cats that would choose cardboard over a comfy bed any days. So the idea of a cardboard bed is perfect. I like the idea of packing the bed inside a box that can also be used as a cat bed.Both items are easy to build. The frame of the cat bed has pre-punched holes, but the cardboard itself doesn’t, so you have to be firm with then enclosed screwdriver to make sure the plastic screw goes in straight. For some reason, the screwdriver doesn’t have a smooth handle, so it is not comfortable to grip. By the time I attached all of the screws, I could feel a blister forming from the pressure of the irregularly-shaped handle against my finger.It comes with a packet of catnip that was leaking, which means I accidentally spilled catnip where I didn’t want there to be catnip. There is no point sprinkling the catnip on the bed because it will just go through the perforations and make a mess on the floor underneath. So I used it all in the box, since even if it goes through the perforation, it will still stay within the box. This led to my cat paying a lot more attention to the box than the bed. So I think she already has a favourite but I am sure she will discover the bed with time.

So there are two parts which I love. One is the box the other is the couch.The box is literally just the box that was holding all the stuff and you fold in the sides and there’s a scratching pad inside. It’s nice and a good use of material. My cats love boxes to this is great. However, as you can tell my 10 year old baby has already started to stretch out the sides, so not for larger cats. She just slept in in for an hour.The couch on the other hand is super long which I love. It has to be put together and that was my problem. The screwdriver it comes.with is terrible. So may ridges and sharp edges. It hurt me to put it together so I just put in 4 each side and not the 6. I dreaded putting it together. Use your own flathead screwdriver. Although I don’t love it as much my cats do and their opinion matters. So I’d recommend this, but just don’t use their screwdriver.
