    Transformative
If you’re a day hiker, this thing is utterly amazing. I used other day packs for years, resulting in a shoulder that was screaming after only about 3 miles in, and this was with almost nothing in the pack- 2 L of water, a few snacks, minimal emergency gear. Something had to change, and this internal wire frame pack was just the ticket. The pack is ultralight as promised, frame not even really noticeable, but I can now happily go 12+ miles in a day with no shoulder or upper body pain at all (legs get a bit cooked though after that long, ha). Get any cheap hydration bladder like I did ($12, 3L) and it fits perfectly. Like others have mentioned, the waist strap zip pockets are a bit useless, but doesn’t bother me- plenty of room inside the pack. This could be used as a weekender, too, for light camping. It’s slightly on the large side for me (5’4″) but so light that there is no issue, even with intense elevation gain. My only slight peeve is that when I bought, there was no color other than black, a little brutal in AZ in the summer, but it’s actually not too bad due to the material. Have used it over 200 miles and love it! It does come with the adjustment straps not looped through correctly to prevent slippage, but easy 3 minute fix (see the awesome review that explains it) and you’re on your way. Well worth the money.

    Quality
I purchased this pack to use for day hikes, mountain biking and horseback riding. My hikes are usually about 6-8 miles, bike rides are about 8-15 and horseback riding around 4-8. This pack is super lightweight. It is very comfortable. I am able to pack water, food, spare layers and other odds and ends easily. Another nice thing about this pack is if I take something out like my jacket the remaining items do not slosh around in the pack. When I received the pack I had to reroute the shoulder straps. The straps were slipping and would not stay tight. The guys at Hunttit squared me away immediately. I have included a video of how to fix the slip. Great little pack. The way the zippers are set up it is easy to get anything out of the pack even if is is in the bottom.Update: I love this pack. I just took a two month vacation and used this pack almost every day. Kayaking, hiking, four wheeling, mountain biking, overnight camping. This pack is super light, very durable. Please watch my video if you receive this pack and the straps do not work. It is a super easy fix!!!!!!! Well worth the money.

Loved it except for a significant flaw with the shoulder straps.
The Hiking Backpack Ultralight Packable 28L Hiking Backpack is nearly perfect, with high-grade material, compact foldability, and durable zippers. The pockets are easily accessible and adequately sized. However, a significant flaw lies in the adjustable shoulder straps, which consistently slip out of place, compromising comfort and usability. If not for this issue, it would undoubtedly earn top marks. Despite the slipping problem, it remains a reliable choice for outdoor adventures, albeit with room for improvement.

    Good but with flaws EDIT
Overall, the design of the backpack is pretty good, considering its size. When packed down, it’s about the size of cantaloupe. It’s certainly nowhere close to other packable backpacks but unlike those, the material is thicker, the straps are thicker and more padded and it has a hipbelt. It’s much more serious backpack than those thin cheap ones. I wish It wasn’t black but at least, they made the interior white which is very practical.I like the pockets, especially the secret side/inside pocket which will be very useful for keys and money. There are few other design decisions that seems like they should always be done that way but often are not. One of them is that the water reservoir does not reach to the very bottom and also has depth due to folded fabric on the side. Not only it allows to insert full water reservoir easily and keeps it above the bottom, far from abrasive ground and your ass, it also takes 14 inch notebook and keeps it above the ground, when you put the backpack on hard ground (like floor at the airport). Many, even notebook dedicated backpacks have such sleeve reaching the bottom of the backpack and dropping such backpack on the ground will smash your notebook hard. Not here. I know this is not a backpack meant primarily for notebooks but it shows these little design decisions that make this backpack very usable. btw, I use the backpack as my personal item on the plane and take notebook in it.The stitching seems very high quality.I like the backpack is rather narrow and tall, distributing the weight much better than other backpacks that when full, extend far from your body and/or are wider than your body, making t hard to hike in narrow places and distribute the weight closer to your body for more stability. But, right off the box, I tried to unzip the hipbelt pocket and the zipper slider flew away. I tried the other pocket and the same thing happened. The slider has a hole big enough for the grip to pass through. You can see it in the pictures. That makes them unusable because without the grip, you cannot operate it and you’re gonna lose them the first day. And the same thing can happen eventually on all the other zippers. The hipbelt pockets are also totally useless. They’re small but when on hips, they are bend which prevent it putting anything but money or maybe a chap stick in them. Forget to put a protein bar or even a phone. I can hardly slide one finger in (photo).Because the hipbelt is removable, it also means exchangable and I swapped with with much beefier hipbelt from old Marmot backpack. Not only it made the pack to wear much better, it also solved the problem with the useless hipbelt pockets. Some reviews mentioned that the shoulder straps don’t hold but that’s because from the factory, the thin straps are placed in the wrong slits. The top in the photo is the original, the bottom is the correct one that doesn’t slide freely. An easy correction. It’s a good attempt to make a foldable, light, cheap, but good, backpack but the quality control and attention to details is lacking.Overall, I like the backpack and updated the rating to 4*.EDIT I had to downgrade the rating again because I came back from my trip where the backpack worked pretty good as in caring the necessary stuff for the hike and I even use it for a week trip where everything was in the backpack and it still was reasonably comfortable. Mind you that as I wrote above I exchanged the supplied hip belt for a hip belt from another backpack that is much beefier. With the supply hip belt the backpack would not be as stable.Anyways, the (new) problems that I encountered:1. Just like the poorly made zipper sliders on the hip belt, the same thing happened to a zipper in the inside secret pocket but it was in the middle of the trip while I was closing the zipper and suddenly the pull felt off. I didn’t lose it but it was no way to put it back and fix the zipper during the trip so I had to put the pull into the pocket and use a nail for the rest of the trip to close and open the zipper. Which obviously was very inconvenient as it was really hard to do.2. The second issue is with the so-called frame which is just a thin metal wire that goes around the inside of the backpack. Also during the trip, I noticed that there was a wire sticking out inside of the backpack and when I flipped it over, I found that the wire is sticking out several inches, and there is absolutely no way to get it back in. I cannot even figure out how the wire was originally hold inside. So there is no way to fix this issue. You can see that in the pictures that I added to this review. And of course it’s too late to return the backpack so I guess I will have to keep it and hope that the wire from the frame won’t be coming out more. And most importantly, that it will not penetrate the fabric because it’s pretty sharp.
