I used it on my kittens ‘cat’ wall. The adhesive is enough to stick to the wood platforms. It offers resistance for when he is climbing. I have not tried it for a scratch post though, if you were to use it as a vertical scratch pad you would most likely want to screw it onto a frame as I am not sure the adhesive would be sticky enough; it sticks to a horizontal surface enough for a landing pad though. It is easy to cut into the shape you need.

This carpet was perfect to redo my cat purchase. It was easy to assemble and very sticky. I stripped off the old carpet and replaced with this material. Very functional and looks great. I will buy more to do my other perch.

Works well enough but tape is useless
A great way to make or redo your cat furniture. Material is durable and easy to handle. Works well for cat scratching. Included double sided tape is not meant to handle the stress cats put behind their scratching, especially larger cats like my 19lb girl. I used staples to get the material to stay in place and that works better. Save the tape for other projects though.

It stayed in place. My cat had scratched one side of my couch, so I’ve removed all the couch cloth, keeping only the exposed wood. I have glued this product on the wood (without the tape) and it is still in place even months later. My cat eventually scratches it, even though they’re still scratching other couch parts. No complaints about the product.
