My 5-year-old refuses to go anywhere outside if he doesn’t have his water bag. He loves the color he loves the fit. We got it last year for him and when we put it away for winter time he was mad. The storage space is great because I can put in an extra pair of socks or shorts depending on what we’re doing. These are great bags, works for my 7 and 4 year old. Zero complaints about the bag. However, he hydration bladders is complete trash. Strong plastic taste despite trying many techniques, and extremely stiff/inflexible hoses. I purposely bought name brand thinking it would be better…. dead wrong.

Perfect for elementary age kiddos
I purchased one of these for each of my kids (ages 5, 6 and 8) to help keep their hands free on hikes. (I previously had them use straps for water bottles, but they were always clanging around and in the way) They fit perfectly, carry more than enough water and also have enough space for snacks and other items (bandaids, binoculars, etc) One downside is that two of the three were leaking where the hose connects to the bladder. I just removed the hose, trimmed the end and reconnected it and that solved the problem.

Bought this for my son to go on a trip with his godmother to Colorado. They planned to do some significant hiking. Heâs 8 and average-ish size kid. This not only fit him perfectly, but the pockets are enough storage without overloading it with weight. He used it on the plane as his personal bag, without the water of course.
