Sweet deal of a batt backup
Eco Flow makes a quality made batt backup, (I got it to keep the house lights on in power outages) No-brainer setup, Breeze to runs lights in power outages plug your lamps and WHAMBANG, no sitting in the dark, house lights back on. portable and lightweight (ya the bigger ones last longer BUT their far more expensive and super heavy) Can be charged with solar panels, used in auto. SUPER cost effective…SO like it’s a sweet deal from Amazon. Get one, won’t break the bank either.

ECOFLOW Portable Power Station RIVER 2, 256Wh LiFePO4 Battery.I just started learning about Portable Power Stations and the LiFePO4 Battery.I had a important need for auxiliary power. I am on a CPAP every night. I had power go out and no way to use my CPAP. This is a life saving medical device for me. I needed a way to power the CPAP at times my electricity was off.I had enough bottles of oxygen to make it for a couple of days, but couldn’t use my CPAP. I needed a power source for at least seven hours. So I purchased this EcoFlow River 2 Power Station. When it arrived I charged it to 100%. That night I hooked up to the EcoFlow. It lasted a full seven and a half hours. That’s what I needed.So the next morning I charged it up. It took about an hour to be fully charged. It is small and light weight. It weighs less than eight pounds. Size is: 9.6″L x 8.4″W x 5.5″H. The RIVER 2 Power Station came with an AC Charging Cable for charging in the house, and a DC Charging Cable that works in my vehicle, and an Instruction Manual. It doesn’t come with a Solar Cable, but they are available. I have Solar panels on my house and possibly we could tap into that to charge this Power Station.The Long-Life Battery has a ten year expected life rechargeable to at least 80%. I’m 82 years old and the Power Station should last longer than me.I’m so excited about this Power Station that we are considering a full home backup system. I’m currently looking at the ECOFLOW DELTA Pro Ultra Power Station, with 2 Batteries and a ECOFLOW Smart Home Panel 2. This should give me all that I need to fully power my home. I need to get some help in determining that the DELTA Pro Ultra will supply all of my needs.These LiFePO4 Battery Power Stations are very interesting. Works great for powering 12v fridge
I bought this primarily to power a small 12 volt Vevor 16 quart cooler fridge/freezer. I was able to run it about 10 hours on a full charge. The 12v outlet supplied no-load voltage of 12.4, and supplied – steady 12.0-12.1 volts with a 45 watt load, all the way down to 0% battery remaining. I also tested the A/C output, and it was a steady 120 volts all the way down to zero battery. Very impressive. This unit is good for light loads. It is also fairly compact and lightweight. Charging is fast. You can also slow down the charging rate in the phone app, to extend the useful life of the battery. This size model fits my use case perfectly. The one thing I did notice is that if you use the AC inverter, it does significantly impact battery life. I tested it with a 66 W load, which in theory should give a solid three hours of runtime even assuming a 20% loss, and I only got about 2 1/2 hours. I think the new river 3âs that just came out have a much more efficient inverter. Next one will likely be a much bigger one to power larger items.

Only downside is slow “EPS” relay
I’m giving it 4 stars but only because they papered over the slow UPS relay by calling it an EPS instead of a UPS. Still, I was aware of this issue before I bought the units, and determined that I could live with it. The switch-over is slow enough that it causes my monitors to power cycle, but the computer itself doesn’t glitch so it works out. That is the only down-side. And even there, just having the UPS/EPS relay at all is an important feature because it means there are no losses or inefficiencies running through the unit when mains are available… very important for efficiency, particularly when the mains themselves might be an off-grid system!All the other features are a clear improvement over older models and other power stations. EcoFlow finally got the picture and put an LFP battery in, the AC output is beefy-enough for the size of the unit, the bluetooth and wifi interfaces are wonderful, particularly the remote control feature. The ability to disable timeouts for the AC and DC outputs are extremely useful. All great.The absolute best feature is the ability to control the AC charging rate as a number in excess of AC consumption. My AC mains are limited, so I set the charging rate to 100W. If I have another 100W worth of loads running, the unit will pull 200W (charge at 100W and feed the 100W in loads) . That is exactly what I needed and older power-stations don’t do it.Four stars (only because of the “EPS” slow-relay sillyness). This unit is heads and tails better than Bluetti’s EB3A.NOTE: It is possible to replace the fan, but it uses a 2.54mm JST connector which is not compatible with most fans. I wound up doing it anyway, replacing it with the much quieter Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX fan. It required snipping, soldering, and some heat shrink though so not for the feint of heart. Let me retain my sanity though.

This is a very nice little portable power station. I am actually using this as a back up power supply in an EPS/UPS function and it works great! Switching is very quick and to the point that there is no perceptible loss in power for my camera system.Has a very nice read out, is light, well made, and competitively priced.I own many Ecoflow products and each one has served me well when used or needed during power outage situations.Well done Ecoflow!

Our Condo has a scheduled power shut-off. I decided to purchase this unit so my wife can have a light on, charge her devices and brew a coffee in the morning. It was an impulse purchase and definitely a shoot-first-ask-questions-later situation. The unit arrived and I was pleasantly surprised at its small form factor, light enough and small enough to move it to where it is needed.This unit will not run a Keurig coffee brewer. It can handle 300w but a kuerig requires roughly 1200-1500w. (always ask questions before shooting!)the unit did run a 60w floor lamp, our 15w router and charged lap top and a few other devices with no issues. with all these items drawing power from the unit it gave me about 6 hours of run time off a full charge.the unit has the ability to efficiently switch from mains power to the power station with uninterrupted power. In the event of a storm where a power outage is in the offing, you can plug the unit into mains power, plug in your desired devices and if there is a power outage, you will have uninterrupted power. (no more searching for a flashlight in the dark!)What impressed me most was the quality of the light from the table lamp that I had running off the unit. The light was bright and steady throughout the 5-hour run time.While it was purchased solely for power outage situations, now that I have it, I realize there are a lot of use cases I hadn’t considered.. We live in an older condo that was built without enough power sockets to supply all the gadgets required in modern life. It is very convenient to run a device when needed rather than swapping out devices trying to find an available socket.It does have built in fans to keep the unit cool both when charging and discharging. The fan noise was not particularly loud. I had the unit running about 2 feet from where I was sitting. While I could hear the fan while running, I had to focus on its fan noise and didn’t notice it when a youtube video was running across the room. It is very quiet indeed.A great unit tht provides far more value than it costs. I am very happy with impulse purchase!

The battery capacity is great for a compact device, easily powering my phone, laptop and so on. Itâs incredibly lightweight and portable, which makes it easy to carry along, and the recharge time is impressive.I have been using this when camping or trips on my car helping me charge Phone, Camera, laptop and mini fans. At home it helps powering my Cooler, Laptop, Phone and Monitor when power failure.I hardly think if there is any alternative in Indian market with these features. Best innovation I would say with the digital display, different charging and recharging options, phone connectivity and support.I heard they have a portable AC, hope that too will get available in India soon.For anyone looking for a reliable, portable power solution, the RIVER 2 is a solid choice.
