The best laptop I have ever had
This laptop is so fast I have never experienced anything like it before. According to software its boot time is less than 2 minutes. All of my other softwares are also extremely fast. This hdd laptop is faster than any ssd’s I have ever experienced.

For a refurbished/renewed item this was in excellent shape physically with no visible flaws. Touch screen works even though I will most likely not use it. The 12 gigs of ram are broken down into a 4 gig and 8 gig chip. The one I ordered was refurbished with a hdd and not a ssd hence a extra @ 200$ off the other refurbished ones. Only 2.1 hz processor speed out of boxThe unit was very slow to start but that is because windows 11 has a bunch of optimization updates to go through, once that was done the speed picked up to what I would expect for a previous gen cpu. Installed some AAA games and they launched without issue but have yet to do extended testing because it really needs that SSD.Pros: For everyday use this will work just fine: web browsing, videos, office products Price point is fair No issues connecting multiple bluetooth devices and wifi, drivers worked out of boxCons: AMD is horrible at giving you the actual speed, spec sheet says 4ghz, actually clocks in at 2.1 out of box. sure it may be able to be overclocked that fast but that is false advertising. Should have at least 16 gigs of ram, considering how cheap ram is there really is no excuse for using a 4 gig ram chip. It’s windows 11, this is my a personal preference but so many small user interface changes that are more frustrating than anything (I worked in tech support, this is not user error but feel and flow of navigating)

My last time using HP
For a brand new, $400 laptop, this was one of the slowest booting computers I’ve ever seen. My ~10 year old desktop with Windows 10 boots faster. HP filled it with so much bloatware I spent 30 minutes just uninstalling the games, spyware, and adware that it came preloaded with. windows 11 is awful and this laptop runs it incredibly slow. HP installed over a dozen completely useless programs on here just to waste your time and harddrive space.

While it works fine, the computer is slow to boot and is slow when loading apps. Not sure if it needs more memory or are there too many apps running in the background. As not being an expert, I’m not sure which of these apps I don’t need and can remove. I’m sure it’s the apps, so I’ll have to do my homework and eliminate those bad boys.
