Love the breadth of places and perspectives
This is a great book for inspiration and dreaming! I enjoy that the descriptions and stories come from a variety of riders so there are many perspectives. There is enough practical info to point you in the right direction to get more info on each ride.

A disappointment
More of a coffee table book than a useful guide. What’s good: If you’re a bikepacker or a mountain biker, there are plenty of great ideas here and obscure routes to explore. What’s bad: The very small sans-serif type makes for difficult reading. The book also omits some of Europeâs top rides: Thereâs not a single word about riding the Loire Valley in France, for instance, and the epic Rhine route is buried with a single paragraph. Some of the writers have little or no experience with cycling or seem clueless as to what to include. In a description of riding Europeâs most popular route along the Danube, for instance, the writer skips the start of the route from Passau, Germany and the magnificent monastery at Melk, opting to ride the dull industrial stretch toward Vienna instead. Thereâs zilch about the western end of EuroVelo 6, etc. That said, this book is a good idea-starter and has some excellent photos.

This was a gift for daughter and son-in-law to help them prepare for their bike trip through Europe. They both loved the book and gave them many ideas for their trip. The book also included some beautiful pictures.

My husband loves to cycle and this was given as a gift. Beautiful well illustrated and thought out book. We got many an idea for our European campervan and cycling trip, including the romantic road which was a favourite and never on our radar before. It also makes for a beautiful coffee book.

L’ho preso per mio marito, ma le foto mi sembrano sbiadite, come se fosse un libro vecchio. Ero indecisa tra questo e la versione di National Geographic, che forse era meglio!

Beautiful photos, huge amount of alternative route suggestions, tips, places to stay and eat and really nicely written. Highly recommended, but will probably cost me a marriage and a ton of money ð
