Great for trimming hard-to-reach areas
I ordered this as I was looking for something smaller and easier to maneuver when trimming my son’s hair, as he keeps a ponytail and shaves the bottom section. The clippers we were previously using were just too big to get a good cut around the ears. This trimmer turned out to be perfect for the job. I was initially concerned that it didn’t have the adjustable arm piece for blade closeness, but the included guide worked perfectly. The other tools are nice to have but we probably wonât use them. It looks like this is an item that a lot of people return or one of the models keeps getting sent back because, as other reviewers, I found hair on the blade, but also fingerprints on the handle, so this had been used.I didnât try it as itâs very unsanitary.It is pretty small and portable so that part is nice.The accessories, the different heads are plastic and seem cheap. I donât think they would last long.

Small and compact for travel but lots of plastic
I ordered the Hiena Pro Beard Trimmer to use for travel as my main trimmer is bulky and doesn’t have a case. The set works well, but with all of the plastic, it doesn’t feel like it’s going to last.The trimmer comes inside a really nice semi-hard travel case. One entire side of the case is a zipper pocket that holds all of the attachments and heads. The other side has the trimmer and a barbers apron held in by an elastic band across the opening. As I don’t usually use the apron I took it out but that made that side of the case completely empty so that the trimmer would bang around during travel so I had to put the apron back inside. Not ideal, but it works.The trimmer itself is relatively small and is only about 2/3 of the size of a standard trimmer. It is powerful when turned on though. There are a number of heads that can be swapped out. To do so you simply turn the head that is installed, remove it and put another in place. There is a trimmer head, a hair clipper, nose/ear trimmer, electric razor and an eyebrow scraper. There are also a number of guide attachments. This is one of the biggest problems with the set for me. There is only ONE for the beard trimmer but a number of them for the hair trimming head. As I only wanted it for the trimmer, it severely limits the use I can get out of the unit.In order to review the unit I did try out the other heads (except the eyebrow scraper). The nose/ear trimmer worked decently. The electric razor head worked well but left hairs behind (this might not be the units fault as I have never had an electric razor that worked well for me). The hair clipper worked well for edging but I didn’t attempt to trim my hair as I have a professional barber clipper that I use for that job. The main problem I have with the clipper head is that the entire thing is open so it is going to get covered in hair and be harder to clean and oil. The attachments snap into place easily.Overall I think the Hiena Pro unit is a decent tool that has a lot of uses. I will use it for as long as it lasts but, based on how light and how much plastic is used in production and the fact that you have to twist and pull each head when installing, I don’t feel like it will be as long as my name brand units. I really love the carry case and will use that plenty in the future though. At only $25, I think it’s fairly priced as long as you go in with the right expectations.
