The Spekular LED Light Wrap, Magnetic Portable LED Light Wand with 15 RGB Colors & 5 Effects | for Photography, Videography, Vlogging, Content Creation | KYU-6 RGB: is a really cool practical light tool for photo and video content creation. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got this. However, the more I work with it, the more I love it, and the more inspired I get. Look it’s important to understand what this is and what it isn’t. People often make interesting claims that make your eyes roll, However that doesn’t mean a product is bad because this claim or that claim is not the best use case. So lets talk about what this is and what it is good for, because it’s pretty cool for what it is. So this is an all rubber, low power, practical, flexible LED strip light. Practical in production terms refers to a light (in this case) that might be used in the scene, as opposed to being pointed at the scene. It has 5 brightness levels, an R,G,B mode, 15 colors and 5 effects. It does not have white or CCT. This thing is rather over engineered, in a really cool and fun way. It feels really good in the hand, well constructed and feels like a piece of Photography equipment. It’s also totally a Slap bracelet for photographers LOL. Seriously though, it’s well made and well engineered, water resistant, flexible and has 3 magnets imbedded in the back.The light is not supper bright, by design. You won’t be lighting a whole person with this. In certain situations you may kick some light on them, but this is for close, very close. As I said it’s absolute best use is for light painting. Possible one of the better tools for light painting that I have seen. It is also a great little accent light just to have in the scene to add interest and dimension. You could just use the magnets to stick it to what ever and have it part of the photo. I think that is where this thing rally shines as a light in the photo, as a prop. Also to light up a small dark area such as under a counter, shelf or cabinet. Another place where this unit can really shine is table top and macro photography and video. It’s a very good light close up or to move around to get some fill on a table top subject or product. The effects work pretty well too and have solid uses. The candle is particularly good on this, as it is actually candle sized. the police, fireworks, broken bulb and TV are always useful as well. You can also just cycle colors. It might look like a toy but seriously it’s not. It is allot of fun to play with though. It is a very well engineered, well constructed piece of photo gear. It’s not very bright by design, and it doesn’t do white. But it is perfect for light painting, Table top / macro photography, and it is kinda inspiring to think of ways to sneak it into the scene. Adding it to wardrobe and dragging the shutter produces really cool motion streaks. there is so much inspiration to be had. I really enjoy using this light and recommend it for yourself or as a great gift for any photographer.

Bright LED Light
This is a neat light wand/wrap. Lots of colors to chose from but no white or warm white, cool white? I have already used to add some color to photos. I can also see a lot of fun to use for Light painting, painting with light, light drawing, or light art performance photography are terms that describe photographic techniques of moving a light source while taking a long-exposure photograph.Another use would be for safety. Slap it on your wrist while walking or riding a bike. It would help make you stand out. I docked it two stars for the price, it’s to high and the rubber cover for the usb charging port. It’s a pain to put back in place. Other than that it’s a nice accessory to have in your camera bag or as a safety light.

Interesting but way over priced
Could be interesting to use for light painting photos. It does wrap nicely around something like your wrist. For its size it’s fairly bright and the colors are bright bold. There are 3 buttons to turn it on and change colors…I think….I mean after several minutes I still couldn’t figure out how to make the light brighter.At $50 this should for sure be USB-C charging and NOT micro-usb. This is a big swing and a miss for me. I just don’t see the value here for $50 with as inexpensive as RGB LED lights have gotten recently.

An important piece of video kit you never realised you needed
Like some others, I was a little surprised at the cost of this line of video lights. Once I got this in my hands, though, I not only realized why it was so expensive, I felt that it was worth every penny.This unit provides various types of colored lighting to assist in the lighting of scenes for either still photography, video shoots or even film shoots.The size and snap bracelet execution give the initial impression of something cheap. It doesn’t take long before you realize just how genius these lights are. The construction and fully magnetic back make this a light you can literally position anywhere. It also comes with a set of self-adhesive metal pieces so this can easily be used on non-magnetic surfaces. We’ve been going nuts finding different uses for these and have yet to be disappointed. The battery life is great. Outside of the price, I can’t really find anything bad about it. Even the price isn’t that bad. It’s definitely something that the casual user won’t want or need to spring for but the pros should be grabbing as fast as they can.Also, it’s a small company that probably came up with these because they had a use for them and realized there was nothing like it on the market. It’s a company worth supporting.

Really wanted to be hard on this item because the priceHowever it exceeded my expectations.Itâs very intuitive and versatile. The color version is clearly for light paintingWhich it will excel at!Itâs quick and easy to dial in .I can adjust brightness , switch between rgb and intuitively cycle through shades of colors similar to a color wheel .not to the level of exact color match. Great range.Makes a handy light little safety light as wellI would gripe that it canât do white . The closest you can get is an incandescent yellowish which if ur cheap u can correct with white balance .Packaging is nice and designed well. It doesnât come with a cold shoe but does have a magnet that you can add to a stand, camera , phone , gimbal whatever .The all white version comes with the shoe.There is also a light stand which is designed to hold three of these .
