I WAS NOT EXPECTING TO CRY THE WHOLE TIME
This movie was great but dang, I was not expecting to tear up and cry the whole time. I have a very soft spot for handicap people and this movie destroyed me just like A Silent Voice did. It was definitely sweet and the art was absolutely beautiful but it really tugged too much on my heart strings. For me, itâs a good 1 time watch but I donât want to cry and feel like that again. I have too much of a soft spot for anyone handicap and it hurts too much watching it. Idk why it effects me so much. Iâll be in the best mood ever, Iâll go out in public and see someone whoâs in a wheel chair or using crutches and Iâll immediately feel bad and think about my own life on how fortunate most of us are. We take so much for granted, I immediately feel the guilt and sympathies for all those who are handicap. I guess itâs a blessing and a curse. Either way, if your not effected as much about this topic as I am, youâll absolutely love it. I really do love this movie but, I canât handle it sometimes.

Great story!
This beautifully animated film is an Amazing story of love between a young man with his dreams and a young lady who’s only known pain. He’s on a mission to fulfill a lifelong dream and go to a specialized college program far away. That is until he literally has a young wheelchair bound girl land on top of him. She’s a puzzle to him because he’s never met someone so sheltered and distrustful of the world. This is also not about young teens as so many stories are even though they are both clueless about relationships but with their backgrounds it makes senseThe story is sometimes difficult because of her personality quirks but very well worth watching, waiting a few days and watching again! It’s about pain, desperation, hope, wonder, determination & love interspersed with anger, bitterness, self-loathing and acceptance.I’m giving it another couple of weeks before going back for a 3rd watch, this is already becoming one of my favorites.

The musical score is absolutely beautiful, the story is complex and truly heartfelt and the animation is amazing. I absolutely love this film and I’ve watched it more times than I care to admit since ordering it. It’s really quite a lovely movie.

Worth the wait!
I waited two and a half years to see this movie. Because my wife has cerebral palsy, and was of the first generation to live independently outside of institutions, I wanted to see what parallels might be drawn. It did remind me of college when I assisted people with disabilities to swim in a local pool. However, my then future wife never flew out of a runaway wheelchair and into my arms. There is one scene where Josie acted very much like my wife around children.It is a very good coming of age anime that discusses a very real social matter. It also addresses the issue of what can happen when a able-bodied person finds themselves with a disability.The film is a nice introduction to coming of age and slice of life anime. It can be enjoyed by people of all ages. A little bit of language.

This movie checks all the boxes. Great story. Great art/ animation. Great acting.I did not know what to expect with this, but wow. It is really beautiful, with Josee living with her grandmother (until she passes) and then learning to live independently and follow her dreams as an artist. Meanwhile, her caretaker is also pursuing his dreams and inspires her to reach for more, to be more.In a tragic twist, he gets hurt and thinks he’s lost his chances to make his dream come true. And Josee returns his kindness and inspires him to not give up.Beautiful, supportive romance story. It was so well-written, funny, moving and inspiring. Loved every minute of it.

When I saw this film off crunchyroll I was very impressed.This budding romance is filled with love, hope fear and so forth. In fact I can very much do it justice in a review. What I can tell you though is if your looking for a classic romance, this is the film for you
