Very pretty. Hold well. Easy to clip and unclip. Nice colors.
I am 77 and have long hair. Unfortunately, my hair has thinned with age, and does not hold curl well with summer humidity. This summer I have been working on a garden we have around our patio, so I have been putting my hair in a ponytail to keep it out of my face and off my neck. All but one of my barrettes could hold my hair in a ponytail without sliding down.When I found these barrettes, I decided to try them. Considering the price, I decided to buy 2 sets of them, and I am so glad I did. The colors are very pretty, and I love the tortoise shell patterns. These barrettes hold my hair in a ponytail without slipping. They are so very easy to clip shut and to open when you want to remove them. Since the inner part of the clamp is flexible, I’m sure these would also work for thicker hair, but would hold a bit tighter.I would recommend these barrettes for thin hair, and hope this review was helpful for you.

These are nice looking, a good combination of colors. Nicest part is one clip is perfect for my fine hair for quick updo’s.

Variety packet with good range of color and pattern. None match but some could be worn together and look quite nice. Clasps are standard pinch closure and are of average quality. Covering shell is lovely variegated design and molds nicely to head. Good for final touch to cover rubber bands or such. Holds a standard side lift of hair but will not be big enough for a back full gather.

Pretty good variety, made well. I have long fiber texture hair, but as long as I use a styling product, I have enough body that I use 1 to pull back a portion of hair to anchor to upper center back of head. Think they are too big to wear as a side barrette (I use combs for that).

You can’t beat the price on these, but they don’t hold much hair. My hair is thin and these don’t hold much of my hair. Was hoping these would work to pull my hair back, but they are not the best. Probably won’t purchase again.
