Good item, terrible packaging
This is food grade citric acid. Simple product at a good price. The actual powder is about the consistency of table sugar or salt, so it flows easily. Packaged in the US, but who knows where the actual ingredients come from. The packaging was as follows: The paper bag in which it was contained was split open, so there was a fair amount of product within the sealed plastic bag surrounding the paper bag. Except that the plastic bag had a tear in it, which allowed product to get all over the inside of the Amazon plastic bubble envelope in which it was shipped. And just for jollies, that bubble envelope also had a split, and was leaking product. At the very least, this should be shipped in a box, not a padded envelope. Bottom line: good product, terrible packaging and sloppy shipping.

I love that this seems to be from a US based company, and is a good value for the money. I used it for a citric acid bath on apples and bananas before dehydrating them, and it worked perfectly! The bag is easy to seal and works well.
