Connection problems, WiFi name limit
I’ve been using two of these feeders for over a year to feed my kitties. They had worked fairly well for most of that time, with some significant issues that have now made it unusable after moving.-The biggest problem is that it has a ridiculous and unmentioned character limit on the WiFi network name! It gives you an error message and refuses to connect to a WiFi network if the name isn’t super short. I now live somewhere where I can’t control the name of the network, so these feeders are now completely useless!!!-Connecting to previous network: I recently moved, and they would not scan the barcode in the app no matter what I did. I even was at a place for a few weeks where I’d had them connected fine previously, but now wouldn’t work, even though those network profiles still existed and hadn’t changed.-Random dispense of food: this happened occasionally when connected to the previous home network and app correctly, but now after trying to connect to a new network and deleting the profiles, the feeders have somehow retained some memory of the schedule and will half the time dispense a portion on the previous feeding schedule, but cannot predict when it’ll actually do this-No error message for low food or if a portion doesn’t get dispensed-The motion sensor connection to location doesn’t work. I wanted the motion sensor capture to be turned on when my phone wasn’t connected to the network like it says it can do, but it doesn’t work. I’d have to manually turn it on every time, and for both feeders separately.-Smart task doesn’t allow you to create a task to turn motion sensors on

works great, easy setup
This feeder is quite compact and easy to use. It can be used plugged in or with batteries using 3 D size batteries. I have an outlet nearby so I just plugged it in. The food container looks small but it can hold enough food for my two dogs to eat for about a month; they are small dogs and don’t need to eat much. The food container is removable but it didn’t look very obvious to me initially until I read the manual.The feeder needs to be connected to wifi and controlled from an app; there is no way to set the feeding schedule from the feeder itself. There are only 3 buttons on the feeds, one for manual feed, one for voice recording and one for playing back the recording.The app is a bit confusing to navigate initially because they put too much emphasis on the camera features, which is not really high in priority for me because the camera angle is not adjustable so I can’t see the food being dispensed and I can’t see my dogs eating the food either. So for the most part, I find the camera rather useless.In term of setting feeding schedule, you can set the time to feed and amount to feed each time. 1 portion = 10g of food. There is also a button for manual feed as well. I would have loved to have a feature to pause a scheduled meal for a particular day. But for now, your only option is to disable that particular feeding schedule. The first time I set up the schedule, I got an alert saying the food was dispensed but there was nothing on the bowl, I had to press the manual feed a few times for the food to be dispensed but it’s been dispensing the food as expected after that. I like that the feeder somehow managed to dispense the food right in the middle of the bowl and none of the food bounced outside of it.Overall, I like this feeder very much. It’s easier to set up and change feeding schedule and I do not need to have to set everything up again when it loses power. The feeder is also very compact but it doesn’t look like it’s taking up a lot of space. I still have trouble getting my dogs to use the feeder so far; only one of my dogs ate from it but the other dog still kind of staying away so I’d have to put the food in her regular bowl but I hope she will get used to it eventually.
