I love the smell & my cats don’t!
I recently had my living room furniture re-upholstered. Unfortunately, my two cats didn’t like the “newness”. I tried everything. The heavy plastic sheeting worked. but how long can you stand looking at that. It looked like a bad outtake from “Everyone loves Raymond”. I tied heavy doses of Fabreze which worked, but were too much for me. Regular, unscented “repellants” didn’t work at all. At my wit’s end, I ordered “Cat Scratch”, and (fingers crossed) it’s working. I love the smell – sort of clove like – and it doesn’t stain. One of my chairs is dark blue velvet and I’ve been able to spray directly on it. Great product, it’s on my regular Amazon reorder.

Followed the directions as specified, but it never did anything to deter my cat from scratching up our couch and recliner, but it managed to stink up my condo every time we used it. Awful, useless product.

I just got new furniture and my cats were on it like a magnet. I have the kitty covers all across but some corners are not covered fully. My ottoman covers are not full coverage either, especially on the corners where the lid is and they have got to it. I sprayed this on (and it has a pretty potent smell if you use too much) and so far they have not touched it. I have had this about a week now and it is working like a charm. My only complaint is the smell affects humans too, reminds me of citronella. It is made with essential oils and it did not effect the coloring or fabric of my couch or ottoman when used.

Not for my cats…Maybe for yours
This was the first cat scratch “deterrent” spray I’ve ever purchased. I decided to get this one because it was the cheapest of the lot. If you ask me, they are all way, way overpriced, even if they DO work. Which this one didn’t. I coated my furniture and bed over and over, and the cats would pause, sniff with their ears back and then go right into scratching! It does have pleasant faint odor, so kind of like room spray I guess. But everything I’ve read online says that all cats are different and what deters MOST may not bother another. I guess I adopted the exception.

I really like the smell, but the cats do not LOL. Everywhere Iâve sprayed theyâve stayed away, including my Christmas tree! Only thing that needs improving is the nozzle please, it doesnât spray consistently.

I have three cats that have been loving the carpet in the place we moved into and we tried so many different things to get them to stop scratching and I thought this might work but IT DIDNT. My cats did not like the smell initially, but they quickly got over it and kept scratching. This product does not work. The smell is also really strong!TLDR: Don’t waste your time buying this, buy scratching posts or scratch pads and put them near the area where your cat is scratching, maybe use some catnip to entice them!
