Maybe my sense of smell is to blame, but I had to reread the box to confirm that these are non-acetone (I still get a similar odor). In a test to see if these can handle less usual removal chores, I tried to dissolve the final residue from some glittery dip powder coat, and this didn’t meet my expectations. The cloth itself kept its integrity, but several minutes of saturating and rubbing didn’t do much.In a situation where a bottle of remover is handy to use, these would not be a good choice due to the per-use costs, but where a bottle cannot come, it’s nice to have an alternative.

I bought these nail polish remover pads for one reason: my sister can’t stand the smell of neither nail polish nor the remover and she has the nose of a bloodhound. We live together in a fairly sizeable apartment and even with my bedroom door closed and hers, she can still smell when I use polish or polish remover. And I like to wear nail polish so definitely a conflict. I picked this particular polish remover product out because it claimed to have a pleasant smell. I’m 50/50 on that one, it does have a fragrant smell that sits on, but doesn’t mask, that strong polish remover smell.So I was a bit disappointed on that account but boy do these pads work well! They’ll practically melted the polish off my nails, no scrubbing or going over and over them endlessly to get all the polish off. A couple of swipes and all the polish was gone. What’s more is I did all 10 fingernails with just one pad and could have done more. They work incredibly well. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to regular polish remover after trying these. I would have given 4.5 stars if I could for the smell factor but I can forgive that given how well they work. Definitely recommend!

There are 50 sealed acetone-free wipes in this offer. The wipes are sufficiently large to remove nail polish from fingernails on both hands, and then some. They are soaked in chemicals which work on nail polish just as fast as acetone. Unlike with acetone, I could not fully remove traces of black permanent marker though.Trying to test one of the wipes, I was immediately put off by its repulsive smell. I am sure there are people who will be fine with it, just not me. After dumping the used wipe, I had to air out the room, and to wash my hands with soap several times. I could still perceive a faint chemical smell from the tips of my fingers after that. Would definitely recommend to avoid using these wipes before having food, and also before going to a party. It is probably wise to use them outdoors.
