Best monitor for audio – great for two kids
We started with fancy camera monitors and they were terrible for sound. They would not even pick up really loud sounds. This monitor is the best one we’ve found for audio that will monitor two rooms. If you’re just interested in hearing your kids call out and being able to talk back to them this is the monitor for you. The sound quality is fantastic. As other reviewers have said you do have to hit the button a few times to toggle to the right room to talk back but the benefit of the performance of these monitors far outweighs the trouble of hitting a button. The night light has three brightness settings. And the main parent unit is nice and compact. Good find and happy parents!

Product works great, but the Menu needs work
We bought this device so that my wife would know if my elderly mother-in-law needs assistance. It works great. The one issue I have with this is that the menu controls are tiny and difficult to navigate. You can get it to work if you fool around with it, but it shouldnât be that difficult.

Peace of Mind at Night
We have a popular Wi-Fi video monitor that we love, but we didn’t like the idea of having our phones or iPad going all night to hear our babies down the hall when we moved to our new house. We found this audio monitor upon searching and reading reviews and decided to go for it. We love that it’s a dual monitor, allowing us to have ears on both our kids’ rooms simultaneously. It doesn’t cycle through them–it actually just lets us listen to both rooms at the same time. It’s also easy enough to pick up and travel with if needed, since traveling with our Wi-Fi monitor is more of a hassle.

Perfect for two kids
Love the flexibility that you can label the child monitors and switch back and forth on the parent unit. Great battery life but also the chargers are the same as our iPhones (USB-C I think) so donât have to have a special charger just for this. Sound quality is good and really happy with how flexible it is for the different monitoring scenarios of two kids

Missing Batteries
Overall this monitor is pretty average in operation and the feature to be able to monitor two separate rooms simultaneously is amazing; however, I received zero batteries with my monitor so I had to purchase my own (I didnât want to have to go through the return hassle). Disappointing that I was missing the batteries, but the monitors are decent so Iâm keeping it.

Tragically Flawed UX
In an effort to start positively, Motorola Nursery PIP15 Audio Baby Monitor has pretty good sound quality. Our previous monitor caught and amplified every sound equally. This meant that if a fan or the AC unit was running, you would have to try to listen to your kiddos mixed in with too much ambient noise. These monitors did a great job of zeroing on the sounds our kids were making allowing us to easily know when we had to run up the stairs to check in on them.So, that part was solid. There were many issues with this monitor. Most of them stem from the intercom controls.To communicate with one of your children on the other end of the monitor you have to click the right combination of 5 buttons, 4 of which are part of 4 sectioned circle buttons, to decide which monitor to connect to.Then, you need to hold another button long enough to turn on the mic but not too long or the mic won’t activate. Then, you must release the button to talk.THEN, if you manage to navigate this pathway like a Mortal Kombat Finisher sequence, you are rewarded by the monitor not being loud enough for your kids to hear you.On top of all that fun, the most likely time that you would need to utilize the talk-back feature is either very late at night or very early in the morning. Obviously, those two times are not ideal for sleep-deprived parents to be struggling with controls that seem to be designed by toddlers who just want their parents to come upstairs to their room no matter what the ’emergency’ or the time of night in the first place.The sound quality is better than average, but the execution makes it more frustrating than it’s worth.

Non intuitive interface
The quality and performance of this audio baby monitor is excellent, with clear sound and good range on these units. However, the interface is horrible and not intuitive at all. With most monitors, you can use it right out of the box without reading the instruction manual… but this one has confusing controls and menus you have to cycle through to get to the functions you are looking for. And be careful or you might do what I did and accidentally have it blast a lullaby song and wake up your baby instead of trying to adjust the temperature reading. Then there’s the instruction manual which is full of small text instead of infographics. It’s one of those instruction books where you say “Oh boy. I didn’t know I was going to have to read a book” to learn what I need to. Great performance but not designed with the user in mind.
