Works Perfectly, great phone App! Camera is a bit jerky, hard to program and not a great image.
While this feeder is marketed for cats, there’s no reason it can’t be used for dogs as well. Grated it’s on the small size, appropriate for a cat, but we set it up as an alternate feeder for our two older dogs and within 5 minutes of hearing the food drop from the hopper into the stainless steel bowl (attached) they were in love.The phone app was easy to install and flawless to activate. It has tremendous flexibility, allowing you to program more than one feeding time per day, and to ask the feeder to dispense anywhere from 1 to 4 scoops of food at a time. So, for a cat, maybe one scoop is fine. For our two dogs, we set it to four scoops and it works perfectly. Bottom line, you can dispense food manually from the app, and it works while you’re out of the house as well.The included moving video camera is a little wierd. It has a “follow” function, where it detects motion and it will rotate to keep the moving object in view. So far, we’ve found it slow to respond, but it does move.The picture isn’t great – it’s a 1080p camera but it’s not very sharp, and has trouble adjusting to different levels of light. For example, when the camera points into the next room, where the lighting is brighter, the picture “blows out” and doesn’t properly adjust for the brighter illumination.The camera also has a microphone, and I haven’t figured out how to stop the mic from recording.I also haven’t figured out how to set the camera only to record at certain times, and not at others. It’s positioned in a place where family members walk by, and someone might not be dressed to be recorded by the camera.As easy as the food dispenser is to program and operate, the camera is a steeper learning curve.However, as a camera to set up and have ready to monitor your pets or kids when you’re not home, it does the job. I just have to learn more about how to operate, schedule and adjust it.

Good value for what you get
We have an elderly sick cat that we keep in our bedroom at night, and also restrict to the bedroom when we’re not at home. He is getting a little senile and has crazy sleeping habits, and will wake me up several times in the night wanting food (doesn’t seem to respond to food just being left out). I don’t use the feeder on a schedule, I just roll over and tap the widget on my phone to dispense a serving for him, which he hears and goes to get it. Doesn’t solve the “waking up” problem but it does make it easier to take care of his needs and roll back over to sleep. The app is pretty barebones for the feeder, but it does what I need it to do.The camera also works well. The image could be clearer, but for monitoring a pet, it’s sufficient. I like that you can easily rotate the camera using the phone. It makes a bit of a whirring noise when you do, but not too loud (your pets, if they can hear, will notice). We also use this to monitor our cat when we’re not at home. Since it’s in our bedroom, we unplug it when we’re home, but it only takes a few seconds to start back up when we plug it back in. It also has motion detection so you can receive an alert with a thumbnail of the moment motion was detected.For the asking price, this feeder and camera combo is quite the bargain. My only worry is longevity in terms of being able to control these via the cloud vs a product from a more established name.

I absolutely love this cat feeder. I can schedule feeding times through the app and even dispense food manually whenever I want. Itâs super convenient and works great for my needs.The only downside Iâd mention is that the portions are on the smaller side. I have a larger cat (about 16 lbs) and a kitten. Iâm trying to help the big guy lose weight by feeding him portions for a 14-lb cat, and itâs been fine so far. However, the portions this feeder dispenses are around 1/8th to 1/6th of a cup, so depending on your catâs size, you may need to set it to dish out multiple portions.

Useful but..
This product is so useful for just having an automatic feeder for my cats. Set up was easy and the camera is useful. I like that thereâs a metal bowl that I can pull out to clean.What I dislike is that opening and closing the container is difficult. Thereâs no area to grip and open it. The measurements are also by âportionsâ and so each portion is 0.15g and so I would have to calculate how much to feed my cats.Itâs a small feeder and doesnât take up too much room. Same for the camera. So far I am enjoying the product.

Everything works fine, but they did not include a wall plug for the power cord to the feeder
This feeder and camera for my cats works well, but it really bothers me that they did not include a wall plug for the power cord to the feeder. They included one for the separate camera. I donât see why one wasnât included for the most important part of this set, THE FEEDER! In order to get the feeder to work I had to purchase a separate wall plug for it. There is a backup battery compartment, but that is only meant as temporary power for the feeder. They really should have included a wall plug with the feeder or warn people that one is not included for the feederâs power cord.The app that the feeder works with is one I already use for other products in my home, and since Iâm familiar with it, it was easy to set up the camera and feeder for me. The feeder was simple to assemble, and I like that I can program it to feed my cats on a regular schedule.
