Perfect for my larger tank with lots of hungry mouths!
I love this feeder! My tank has about 40 small to medium fish, a few varieties of freshwater shrimp, and lots of snails to clean up any leftovers. The feeder was easy to charge and was easy to attach to and remove from my fish tank. My tank has the lip for a glass top, but I don’t use the glass top. I was afraid that the lip would get in the way, but the clamp is designed well and even has the ability to swivel slightly to handle uneven surfaces. I generally feed every two days. I’ve been testing the feed port. The smallest port is a little too small for my fish kibbles (5mm size pellets) and they get caught, dropping only one or two pieces during a spin, and lodging themselves into the port mouth. The next size up is a little too large, dumping a lot of food, about 25 pieces of 5mm pellets. If you don’t have many fish or a good cleanup crew in the tank, you could end up with a polluted tank. Two solutions: Break those food pellets into smaller pieces and use the smaller port, or set the timer to 48 hours to reduce the number of feedings. I used a piece of painter’s tape to make sure that little port door stays positioned. The little plastic catch hasn’t given me any trouble but doesn’t feel secure, and I don’t want to risk it opening or closing while I’m away. One concern: I was afraid that as the supply of pellets reduced in the tube, fewer would come out of the port, because the feeder sits level and from the listing photos, I didn’t see a gravity mechanism to help push the pellets out. But there IS a little L shaped catch shelf inside the tube, designed to capture pellets and encourage them down the tube toward the port opening, even when the feeder is perfectly level. I also like this low-tech version, where your only options are choosing 12, 24, or 48 hour turn cycles. (Also a manual option). As soon as you hit the button, the feeder goes through its first spin and the timer starts. Love it!

Works fine; a bit bulky.
These work fine. All three of mine charged fully within a few hours and were still running when I came back a week later, no issues with food getting wet or clumping either. If you have smaller tanks with lids like me, you may find it difficult to mount them as they are quite bulky and food is spit out of the very tip. I think these were made with large tanks and big lid cutouts in mind, so a lot of food ended up on the tank stands/lids, but not enough to make me fear my fish were underfed. They feel a bit cheap, but that’s fair for the price, and I don’t travel often enough to put them under heavy use. Each one came with a cheap but functional charging cord and a relatively pointless circular adhesive pad (why is the pad a big circle when the clamp is a small rectangle???)

Vacation
This feeder works great for feeding our fish when we are not home! We use it all the time!

Works with certain fish foods only
I didn’t like that I had to tape the despenser door to prevent too many pellets from coming out. It is also really hard to attach to an aquarium with a top that completely covers the aquarium. With a few modifications I was able to get it to work while on vacation but it’s not suitable for everyday use in my case.

Seemed to have worked
Left for 10 days and this seemed to have held off my Bettas pretty well and is still charged. Had to diy a smaller hole dispenser since the one it comes with is too large for betta pellets even at the smallest opening size

Broke
We tried it on our guppies and tetras but it always spins and the food doesnât go in the tank and it broke one day so we had to scoop out all of the food before our guppies ate it all. Not sure why this happened.

This basic automatic fish feeder works extremely well for something so simple. You can set it to feed every 12, 24, or 48 hours. Manual feed button is a good feature as it does not reset the timer for the 12, 24 or 48 hour setting. Great quality but I recommend getting the upgraded model with LCD so you can have more feeding options.

Funciona bien, fácil uso, no hace ruido.

Very useful during our vacation. Very reliable. Simple to install and use. I wish there was more fine adjustment of the size of hole to control the amount of food. My tank is very small so I needed the hole smaller than the smallest setting available. I ended up taping the hole smaller, but not an ideal solution.
