I recently purchased and tested about 3 weeks since I purchased about 3 weeks ago. For me, it has been a great addition to my smart home setup.Good stuffs below (also cons will follow after this ;)- As a non-techy(?) person (esp me, lol), the entier setup was incredibly straightforward, taking only about 10 minutes to pair with my existing devices. The vast code database made the process smooth.- I love the convenience of controlling up to 25 devices, including both IR and Bluetooth options. It has significantly decluttered my living space by replacing multiple remotes.- The ability to set up custom scenes is fantastic. I particularly enjoy the âLeave Home Modeâ where my devices automatically power down, and my little itti bitty smart Robovac starts cleaning.- Integration with Matter is a game-changer. I can now control my Philips Hue lights and IKEA curtains seamlessly through the SwitchBot remote.- The battery life is impressive, lasting up to 150 days on a single charge. It provides peace of mind, knowing I wonât have to recharge frequently. I think it has motion sensor or movement sensor since I noticed it turns on the LED when I lift or grab the remote which was great!As not all products are perfect there are some cons as well:- The initial connection with some of my older devices took a bit longer than expected. While the extensive code database is helpful (I have attached screenshot of the app), it required a bit of patience to get everything working correctly.- Although it works with many devices, it would be nice to see support for even more brands in the future (more likely U.S. based), particularly for newer smart home products.Overall, this one was a solid investment (imo) for anyone looking to streamline their smart home experience. What makes this remote better than others I have tried is the integration with the SwitchBot app. I already had a bunch of the SwitchBot home control devices, like the Plug Mini, Hub, Color Bulb, temp sensors⦠Iâve liked all of it. This remote integrates with all those devices, and the app made it easy to add other devices like a FireTV, AppleTV, and an old Bose home theater system. There are soft buttons that get automatically integrated depending on what device is being controlled, and those buttons are configurable as well. The charging connector is USB-C, the firmware updates are simple as it automatically asks if I want to do it now or later, and the device itself feels solid and well made. The screen is well visible in various lighting, the size of the remote is perfect⦠and best of all it isnât cluttered with 50 buttons. I would buy it again.

Easy to install, very useful!
This is my third product I have purchased from Switchbot and this one did not disappoint. It was easy to install and I am, admittedly, not great with technology! You just have to charge the device, go to the app to add the device and then pair it with your appliance. In my case, I paired the remote with appleTV and it gave me step-by-step instructions on how to do so. There is even a ‘find my remote’ function in the app where the device beeps so you can locate it if you forgot you put it or can’t find it. I am now going to add the other devices I have!

Felt some one given very good thought about the product.I have a bunch of remote controls controlling, TV, Sound bar, Fire stick, Heater, Robo vaccum etc., I am in the market for a universal remote control to consolidate these devices. So picked up Switchbot Universal remote control due to my previous experience with the company.Battery life is good. with USB-C charging, its future proof and no need to search for a charging cable.Universal remote has an option to figure out the remote control by product and for non-branded products, we need to have their Hub, which learns and replays IR signals. I am using this for last 30 days and submitting support requests as I see issues. What impresses me is their support team is very responsive and continuously pushing updates to fix them. From my day one usage to now, product improved a lot and they continuously working on the fixes and enhancements requests I submitted. While the product is going through growing pains and improving, I am sticking with this product considering they are listening to customer feedback and improving it further.Here are some issues they fixed and enhancement they are working on1. not able to add Hub mini matter to samsung smart things. — Fixed with firmware update2. Sync between app and universal remote is failing – Fixed with firmware update3. Ability to program multiple remotes (TV, Soundbar) into one remote. – Fixed – Sound controls on the TV remote now controls soundbar than TV.4. Ability to modify existing controls on a branded remote like Firestick. I want to change Firestick volume controls to control my sound bar – Enhancement request in progress5. Not able to map custom learned buttons to Universal remote shortcuts A,B or C. Only D is working – Enhancement – in progress6. Touch wheel is only working on Switchbot menu but not in TV remote to move the control – Enhancement – In progress

Wow! This remote has impressed me, I have been using it for my sound bar, my TV, and my lights as well! Itâs come in handy way more than I originally thought it would. Setting it up does take some patience but once itâs all set up itâs really easy to use. I also really like thatâs itâs rechargeable! Het scherm en de toetsen lichten op zodra je ‘m optilt, wat wel een nette feature is als je TV kijkt in het donker. Toevoegen van SwitchBot devices gaat heel eenvoudig, andere toestellen kost iets meer tijd / moeite. Om een IR apparaat toe te voegen aan de hub, moet je de hub (niet de AB) meenemen naar het apparaat, wat een beetje omslachtig is. Verder werkt het wel lekker met alle slimme SwichtBot apparaten. Mooi dat je hiermee ook direct een Matter apparaat in huis haalt.

Die Einrichtung war, wie von Switchbot gewohnt, sehr einfach und unkompliziert. Die Verarbeitung der Fernbedienung ist sehr gut und sie liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Zur Bedienung können zahlreiche Geräte (eine Auswahl aus 80.000+ Geräten gibt Switchbot dazu an), sowohl von Switchbot, als auch von anderen Herstellern angelegt werden. Durch Software-Updates kommen auch immer wieder neue Funktionen und neue steuerbare Geräte hinzu. Der Hub Mini Matter bindet die Fernbedienung oder auch andere Geräte in Matter ein. Aktuell steuere ich mit der Fernbedienung unseren Apple TV, den Samsung TV, unseren K10+ Pro Mini-Saugroboter, Sonos ARC, SwitchBot Curtain 3 und unser Hausflurlicht via SwitchBot Bot. Die Bedienung und die Menüführung sind intuitiv. Die Tasten können in den Einstellungen zu den einzelnen Geräte angepasst werden.Gut wäre es noch gewesen, wenn das Display der Remote ein Touchdisplay gewesen wäre, jedoch ist die Steuerung über das vorhandene Touchwheel eine gute Alternative.Schlussendlich bin ich sehr zufrieden und kann hier eine klare Kaufempfehlung aussprechen.

La confezione con cui arriva l’apparecchio è razionale è poco ingombrante, ma contiene i 2 apparecchi acquistati più i relativi accessori e istruzioni varie.Naturalmente l’elemento principale è il telecomando, che si presenta robusto sia al tatto e, probabilmente….anche se non voglio fare la prova volontariamente, anche in caso di caduta (cosa che purtroppo per i telecomando non è così rara).Anche se non è leggerissimo, l’ergonomia e la posizione dei tasti lo rende comodo e facilmente utilizzabile, ma soprattutto è interessante la luminosità dello schermo e dei tasti che, in particolare di sera, consente di identificare i tasti con precisione; è possibile anche lasciar decidere all’apparecchio il grado di luminosità tramite un sensore di luce interno, oltre a poter attivare la funzione che fa illuminare l’apparecchio solo muovendolo.In attesa che si completasse la necessaria (il consiglio è come sempre di caricare la batteria al 100% prima del primo utilizzo) attesa che la batteria ricaricabile che alimenta il telecomando sia perfettamente carica, che nel mio caso è durata un’oretta perché all’arrivo era già al 70%, ho iniziato a leggere le istruzioni cartacee presenti nella confezione, senza le quali non è semplicissimo utilizzare le varie funzioni dell’apparecchio.Come accade spesso, c’è solo la versione inglese, ma un QR-Code informa che è possibile scaricare le istruzioni nelle varie lingue. Purtroppo, al link indicato, le istruzioni sono….solo in inglese! Ho contattato il servizio clienti della SwitchBot per segnalare il disguido e, nel giro di 10 minuti, mi è stato segnalato un link che, in italiano, spiega il funzionamento dell’oggetto.Doverosa premessa, considerando che la confezione contiene anche un HUB, e che quest’ultimo non serve per l’utilizzo “normale” del telecomando, ma solo se si vogliono comandare le apparecchiature da remoto e per la programmazione.Considerando che senza programmazione il telecomando è inservibile, la prima attività da eseguire è l’installazione della APP SwitchBot….per chi non avesse ancora altri accessori della stessa casa produttrice. Seguendo le istruzioni, si può procedere al riconoscimento del telecomando e dell’HUB, e poi finalmente dei vari apparecchi che si vogliono comandare. Fortunatamente – operando in autonomia – il telecomando auto-aggiorna il firmware alla versione più recente.Le modalità di accoppiamento sono 3: 1) “Smart match”: basta puntare il telecomando originale e, se si è fortunati, è praticamente tutto finito; 2) “Manuale”; se non si ha il telecomando originale, si puà “navigare” tra le marche principale delle apparecchiature e tra i diversi modelli, fino a trovare quello interessato; 3) “Apprendimento dei tasti”: in questo caso è necessario “insegnare” uno per uno i tasti del telecomando originale.Purtroppo il telecomando universale non riproduce tutti i tasti di quello originale ma, trattandosi di una versione “semplificata”, consente di sfruttare le funzionalità principali degli elettrodomestici da gestire; a onor del vero il telecomando ha anche la possibilità di aggiungere ulteriori tasti meno utilizzati, che sono proposti sullo schermo e devono essere selezionati tramite le frecce presenti sul telecomando stesso.Una volta programmato, nel mio caso per gestire una TV con decoder e – da remoto – un condizionatore, il funzionamento è semplice e preciso; in particolare ero preoccupato per le attività comandate da fuori casa, considerando che non è possibile verificare che i comandi siano impartiti ed eseguiti correttamente, ma non ho riscontrato alcun problema.In questi primi giorni di utilizzo il sistema sta funzionando bene, ed ora posso procedere con il riconoscimento degli altri elettrodomestici comandati da telecomandi a Infrarossi.Una funzionalità che non ho ancora esplorato, ma che che farò nei prossimi giorni, riguarda il collegamento con Alexa perché, non appena connesso il telecomando, la APP di Amazon ha subito segnalato la sua presenza, rendendo quindi disponibili i vari apparecchi collegati.Per concludere, ritengo molto comoda l’alimentazione del telecomando tramite batterie ricaricabili interne, così che si possa ricaricare facilmente tramite una qualsiasi spina USB-C senza dover acquistare le classiche batterie AA o AAA. Una nota negativa invece per l’HUB, perché – dovendolo lasciare sempre acceso – sarebbe stato utile che nella confezione ci fosse stato anche un piccolo alimentatore da 5 volt (al costo di un paio di â¬), che mi avrebbe evitato di fare l’acquisto separatamente.Last but not least: tramite app è possibile rintracciare il telecomando, facendogli emettere alcuni suoni che, però, sono troppo acuti per essere sentiti da chi è un po’ in là con l’età , ma in compenso infastidiscono il mio gatto 🙂
