Made in India and they must measure the length of leather and not the actual size that user needed. Also, leather is very poor if it is leather. Nothing like what I purchased from Timberland before. These belts are lovely and with the Amazon prime prices, they would be a great purchase. So, depending on how high or low you wear your pants and your belt needs, I hope this post helps. I also ordered a large because of the reviews, and I immediately returned it because it was way way too long. It was again, accurate with what the guide posted on the website.I kept the medium size, which fit both my 31 inch waist pants and my 34 inch midrise pants.
