It does run on the roomy side (one size fits all), which is a huge plus to me, but some people might not like that the extra room means the face guard isn’t going to be snug against your face, depending on your individual size.MY SELECTED ITEM:BlackFULL REVIEW:I’ve been browsing balaclavas forever and could never really decide on which one to take because I am incredibly picky and rather vain, when it comes down to it. I didn’t want just a complete ski-mask style because, although they’re very warm and offer full protection, they aren’t quite so versatile when you’re walking around in town and have to transition to looking presentable for work. Among other balaclavas closer to this style, the hoods were too tight-fitting around the head, which is not a look that I particularly like. With the Oldelf balaclava, you can have it be close-fitting like that if you like by tightening the drawstring, or you can have the option of leaving the drawstring loose and having a nice, big, roomy hood, which is my usual style preference. It’s nice knowing I can go from my style preference to the warmer option easily if needed, without having the warmer (less stylish) option being my only choice.Being a female and not having a giant noggin, I can say that yes, the face guard is a bit loose to allow for different sizes to wear it. I personally don’t mind this, and actually prefer it since it looks better (for me) and because when I walk to work when it’s storming, I need to be able to then transition to my day job look without a problem, and this means not having all of my face makeup rubbed off by a tight-fitting ski mask or balaclava. I know this isn’t going to be the same concern for most people, but for me, those are really huge selling points.Over all, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase and will be coming back to buy one for my partner, as well (he has a huge head, so the big hood will be especially nice for him). We live in the Pacific Northwest about 30 minutes from the Canadian border, and while we don’t always get huge snowfall here, when we do get a good snow, it’s usually a doozy. Even when it’s not snowing, our temperatures in the winter drop very low, so something that is versatile and stylish like this is exactly what we need for those bitter cold days. I don’t personally mind that this isn’t waterproof, since I’d be wearing different gear in a heavy rain anyway, but I figured I should point that out in case someone is looking for a balaclava that can withstand all weather conditions. This will definitely keep you warm and cozy in the winter wind and snow, but it’s not going to keep you dry in a rainy downpour.

I received the product much earlier than I expected–or even when the company said that I should receive it. I tried it on the product and was scared because even though the product says it is ONE SIZE FITS ALL, I was worried it wouldn’t fit me. I have a larger head and I usually wear my hair in a ponytail. Surprisingly, I did not have any issues with the fit; the product slipped on easily on quite easily.Many people complained about a smell coming off of the product. One reader is compared the smell to motor oil. I didn’t notice a peculiar smell.It definitely feels like it will be warm and cozy around my face/head/neck. I bought this because it seemed like a good idea especially now that the whole Rona virus is around. I am really not sure what all these people are talking about it being used for adults with tiny heads…my head must be child size or something then because this thing is way to big on me. Sure I could pull the draw string’s but that only makes the hood tighten up and I have to tighten it to the tightest part for it to properly fit but by then it’s a tiny hole that i can barely see out of. It is good quality and is probably very nice for the people it does fit on properly but it does not fit me :/I wish they could make this in an extra small size my head is 8″ long and 19 1/2″ around that includes to the tip of my nose that may seem like a big number around but in reality it really isn’t all that big so there is a giant gap between my nose and the mask part. The hood part is fine I just can’t use the mask part.

I bought these hoods for spring and fall camping. We will go right after ice is out in the spring or in late fall when the nights are cold and I always have trouble sleeping wearing a hat. The hat would fall off and my head would be cold. With the fleece hood, I have not hat that problem. It is one size fits all and keeps me nice and warm. I will often wear it in the morning until the day warms up also. I would recommend this item.
