It arrived today, just in time for me to make my next batch of homemade dog food. It sliced multiple carrots and sweet potatoes easily into julienne strips which I then diced. I was done in record time since the hopper is large and holds the raw food securely. I also made paper thin slices of onions for a salad. This will make my kitchen prep time and cleanup simple and speedy!* The slicing unit comes out from the housing easily and rinses clean. The supplied brush got the last few slivers of veggie out of the slicer easily.* The chopping mechanism is safe, secure, and powerful* The thickness of the slices are numerous and the julienne options allow you to make the ideal size from french fry to spaghetti-thin.While the price is a bit high, the product is well worth it. Just got my slicer, and I’ve used it once so far. I liked the easy set up, and that it seems to be very safe to use. I wanted very thin zucchini slices, and they turned out perfectly in no time at all. The handle you push down on to slice your food works very smoothly and doesn’t require much strength. The instruction booklet shows how to take the unit apart for cleaning – it’s easy to take apart, and the cleaning is easy.

Man o man! This is hands down the safest and best Mandolin I have ever bought and used. Potatoes no problem, cucumbers no problem, onions easy peesy. Very sturdy and easy to clean, love it!

Slices quickly and easily, but a bit bulky to store
I like how quickly this slices up onions, but will probably continue to use my sharp knives for cutting other veggies (unless I’m making vegetable soup – which I do quite often!) since it’s harder to clean than a knife and I couldn’t find a real convenient place to store it because it’s a bit bulky.Mine came with a chip out of the clear plastic (see photo). It doesn’t really impact the way it can be used and since this was a free product (Vine Reviewer), I couldn’t send it back for a replacement. I’ve been using it once or twice a week for slicing red onions for sandwiches and salads and keeping the onions in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Love how quickly and easily (and tear free) this task has become!

This was easy to put together. Easy to use. Everything was fast and definitely helped cut down my time for holiday prep. Has suction cup feet that sticks to surfaces for better sturdiness. Simple to take down clean up and store.

I only use this for fries. At first it cut them really well, but soon it stopped cutting them all the way through. It makes something like accordion slices with the individual fries needing to be pulled the rest of the way apart. Otherwise itâs great, easy to use and clean. Still easier than cutting fries with a knife, just disappointing that I now have to dismantle the potato slices.
