I only needed a replacement beard trimmer (no need for a shaver as such) and was originally somewhat skeptical about the concept of using a small electric shaver with an adjustable trimming accessory. But the reviews were good, and I decided to give it a try.It turned out to be a great 3-in-1 appliance. PROs:1. The trimming accessory is simple, sturdy, doesn’t bend arbitrarily, ensures uniform trimming length, and is easy to adjust. Do NOT pay attention to reviews where some people complained about incorrect trimming length. We should all understand that these scales are approximate and relative. What used to be 2.5mm on my old trimmer is 3.5mm on this one (2.5 produces something close to the 5 O’clock stubble). Just find the correct position. It’s quite predictable from there. In my case, if I need to trim it a little longer, I just switch to 4 or 4.5mm.2. The whole thing is very easy to clean. The trimming accessory can be instantaneously removed (or put back on) and washed separately. To clean the shaver, just turn it on and wash it for 15 seconds under the tap, as recommended in the manual.3. It’s VERY compact compared to a regular rechargeable trimmer but works no less efficiently. A significant plus for traveling.4. An unexpected but welcome advantage: a much smaller “contamination” area. With all my previous dedicated trimmers, small, trimmed pieces of hair were flying in all directions within the 2+ ft radius, and I had to carefully clean both the sink and the shelves around it after each trimming. With this one, the “contamination radius” is much smaller, and cleaning afterwards is so much easier…5. After a month, the battery shows no signs of depletion. Looks like I can take it with me on a month-long trip without any need for recharging it.CONs: None are too bad, but you need to take it into account.1. The shaver uses a custom 15V power adapter with a weird custom cable, and you will have to take it with you anywhere you go. Moreover, you will not be able to charge the shaver if you accidentally lose this power adapter, or it breaks. WHY, oh WHY can’t they design these rechargeable appliances to use the worldwide standard, i.e. an USB-C port??? Any USB-C power source for notebooks and smartphones automatically adjusts to anything between 5V and 20V. It IS important to take as few cables/chargers as possible when you travel, let alone the risks of losing this stupid custom power adapter…2. Another universal design flaw inherent in 95% of all rechargeable appliances: Neither a small, recessed BATTERY OFF switch accessible only with a staple/small pin, nor a safety latch preventing accidental powering on. This IS important when you travel and want to put the shaver or trimmer in your luggage. Imagine something moving and pressing against the Power ON button during numerous bag loading/unloading procedures! It beats me why nobody thinks of this simple precaution when designing appliances that are frequently used while traveling…

Does the job faster and easier
I’ve had many electric razors in my life over the years (I would never get anywhere near my face with a razor blade before I’ve had my morning coffee) and, frankly, as much as I’ve liked some of them, this blows them away as far as how quickly it works–particularly compared to electric shavers with foil heads (straight or rotary).A few simple sweeps up and down and a week’s worth of long stubble is gone. It won’t shave quite as close as some of the razors I’ve had (which also had a high skin irritation/redness factor), but is so much quicker, can deal with much longer hairs and still produces a perfectly respectable look (though not as smooth a feel). The older I get (and the lazier I get about shaving) the less likely I am to put up with anything else.

First off, I usually only cut down to 5 oâclock shadow, so choosing this trimmer wasnât an easy choice. Itâs good for trimming but even better if you like a close shave. I actually have done a few close shaves, which I hadnât done in over a decade. No razor burn at all. This might be the best thing about this trimmerâ¦I also love the weight and size. Itâs much smaller and lighter than my last Philips trimmer. Iâd say this makes it more portable, but half the times I go to pull it from my toiletries bag, the trimmer head is missing and I have to dig around for it. Worse is that the blade protection cover also falls off almost every time, which I worry will lead to blade damage.This leads to the last point Iâve felt the most frustrated with; the blades are expensive and very one directional. While shaving, you must go against the hair or it pulls your hairs quite a lot. This means only one side of the blades are usable if you arenât going for a close shave, so you end up replacing the blade far more often than if it could be reversed. This also makes it challenging to trim OR shave my neck where hair grows in varied directions.Oh, and the battery is impressive!If youâre using it for a close shave, this is closer to a 4.5-star, and if you donât travel and you close shave, itâs a solid 5.

I was looking to get parts or buy a new Norelco rotary shaver, and this caught my eye. I’ve been sorta wanting to try this type of razor since I first saw ads. I figured I’d take a shot. This trims around ears, moustache, sideburns, and chin beard nicely. It’s not a really close shave, but plenty close enough for me to go to work. I find cheeks, jaw, and neck are easier after wetting them with a handful of water. A minor disappointment was getting another wall wart charger rather than the USB cable in the picture. But I found a neat USB-C to razor 15V DC adapter that I already ordered for delivery today. I also got a travel case for it.

El corte no se siente y no duele pero no es recomendable hacerlo, además que el acabado no es el ideal, si es su objetivo hacerlo solo con cuidado, tiempo y ayudándose de otro método para que quede bien.ACTUALIZACIÃN 2 MESES USÃNDOLA 24/07/2024La rasuradora es una maravilla, la cargué en cuanto la recibà y hoy después de dos meses, a pesar de que el manual menciona que la navaja dura hasta 4 meses usándola dos veces por semana, se ha acabado primero la navaja que la baterÃa.El uso que le he dado efectivamente ha sido 2 veces por semana, incluso a veces que he dejado crecer un poco más de lo normal la barba, la rebajo con otra para después pasar la OneBlade por lo que no entiendo el desgaste prematuro de la navaja; considerando que debes cambiar en promedio al año 6 navajas y viendo el precio de cada una, es un punto a considerar si conviene o no, pero el hecho de no irritarme la piel ni que duela al rasurar es una ganancia enorme.
