Bought this for deer hunting this year bc I wanted a lightweight portable bone saw to carry in the field. It’s pretty open country where I hunt so I don’t need to carry a pack. I bought it only with the intention to cut through the pelvis when gutting a deer. I did do the job, but it is a bit flimsy and you gave to go slow. I also used it to cut the breast bone a bit to open it up and it worked. I wouldn’t use it for any bigger bones and you aren’t going to get through a leg with it, but if you just want something small to get you through the gutting process this will do the trick.

The blade is not as rigid as another I have, but for the price being less than half what I paid for my big brand it gets 5 stars for the price. Sheath is perfectly adequate and gets the job done with a simple brass snap and belt loop on the back.
