I’m a big fan of Liquid Death sparkling waters, and one of the main reasons is that they aren’t too sweet, but I get more flavor that just “essenced” sparking waters. For a long time, I’ve used other “intravenous” electrolyte powders, but always had to water them down to reduce the overly sweet flavor, which then sort of counteracts getting the electrolytes in. I tried these LD Death Dust powders this last weekend while camping and they are PERFECT. Not too sweet, not salty, and flavor not so overpowering that you have to water it down. Really helped keep hydration when at elevation and hiking. Highly recommended!

I want to love this more, but I can’t
Let’s be real. We love the logo and the jokes of this brand.Who can’t laugh at “murder your thirst”?So I gave their electrolyte powders a try.They are ok. Generally, I dilute all of these things by at least 2x more than what they say, so an 8 ounce packet gets 24 ounces of water or so. These won’t work for that, because the flavor is too weak, and it tastes like… the flavor is too thin. I suppose its like when you put one wedge of lemon or lime in a glass of water, and wish you had a second one. I dilute these packets extra because I want to consume more water, and also to consume less sugar.Having said that, if you only dilute them as directed, perhaps you will love these.The flavors are fine otherwise, though the price is a bit high.Of course, I’ve paid a rediculous price for their seltzer by the can… simply because I wanted to try the drink because of the fun logo and humor.If you love the seltzers and their drinks by the can at a store, you probably will enjoy these packets too. Just be sure and dilute as directed, and not 2x or 3x.Kinda recommend.

Great ingredients and excellent flavor
I work outside in extreme weather conditions. I’m constantly in need of electrolytes to maintain hydration and this fit the bill perfectly. It does dissolve well and hits quickly. This product is cheaper than better known brands but has the same hydration abilities and is of equal quality. Mixes well in ice water or room temperature water.

Let me save you some money.
So. I bought these pouches to see if I would enjoy them like some of the other liquid death products. I do not like the sparkling melon or the sparkling mango. (The canned fizzy stuff. ) I do, however love the berry, the plain, the still water, and the lime sparkling canned beverages. The first packet of powder I tried was the mango. I drank only water today so I got home and mixed one. The flavor is very light. Like.. how the sparkling waters are. That’s in a standard size 16 oz bottle of water. It says a pouch to 12 oz. of water. Gripe no.1. Who the heck carries around 12 oz of water? If you’re in an environment where you can measure out the water for these, thats probably not too good of a thing. If youre downing these at the office or at your work-from-home computer, you may want to slow it down. These are elecrolyte replacement pouches. Not water flavor enhancers. For people that sweat. No.2- it has so much salt in a pouch, after drinking only water for a while you can taste the salt. Off putting. Tastes like you put a quarter of a mango flavored crystal light packet into a bottle of water with a tablespoon of salt. Gripe 3- all these folks on these reviews for the pouches saying things like oh wow, real sugar or wow there’s such a tiny bit of sugar in it… well, there’s 8g of sugar per packet. There’s 4g of sugar to a teaspoon. So, that little bit of powder you’re getting in each pouch? Yeah. 2 teaspoons of it is pure sugar. Considering how light the flavor is, it doesn’t seem like a fair trade off. I guess if you don’t mind sugar or salty, mildly flavored water, this is a product for you. If you’re drinking multiple packets worth of these per day, consider the health pros vs the cons. All in all, if you sweat all day and want to try something lackluster but different, go for it. For someone that leads a more sedentary lifestyle, stick to crystal light.
