My cats really like it!
I have a lot of cats and I got this scratching post today, put it together in a few minutes, and set it next to my glider so there was something sturdy behind it. I wanted to make sure it wouldn’t tip as they explored their new post. As soon as I put it on the floor they started gravitating towards it. My Mainecoone cat occupied it for quite a while as the rest hovered waiting for their turn. They didn’t really scratch on it, but they all rubbed against it, curled around the base, layed on the soft furry base and reached towards the toys.It feels very sturdy, the posts are bigger and more solid than another one we use to have, which is a plus, the screws feel tight, and the posts and base don’t wobble…yet. It was very reasonably priced, and, again, my cats are enamored with it.I will submit an edit and more photos later on after my cats have had a chance to use it more. I was just excited that they were even interested in it!Edit: my cats still love it. They scratch on it and play with the suspended balls, the rub and roll on it, they even nap on it. A few of the cats have perched on the top, but it’s just wobbly enough that they don’t stay up there very long. Most won’t attempt it because t tends to wobble. One of them pulled it over in the night because he was pulling it across the floor as he played with it. We are going to follow another reviewers idea of using Gorilla glue in the center fold, and then duck taping it after the glue dries. So far the center post and top bolts seem okay. This has been a great purchase as my cats prefer the scratching post over the corner molding in my house (Which we just replaced). I still give this product 5 stars and ten thumbs up.

Kittens Love this!
From the minute I put this together, my 2 kittens love this. They use it multiple times a day. I encouraged them to climb the post using a cat ribbon wand. I dangled the wand from the floor up to the top of the post and they chased the wand up. This is a sturdy and stable scratching post! It sits right next to their cat tree. They jump from the top of the post onto their tree. Have had this over a month of every day usage and it shows zero signs of wear from 2 three month old kittens.

My 11 yr old cat is finicky with many things. She was using those cardboard scratchers since we moved in an RV, (they make a big mess!) but my dog ate one so I was looking for something more solid, lol. Years ago I bought her a double scratcher with hammock in between that she would not go near so I was reluctant to buy something expensive. I decided to look at single pole scratchers. This extra tall post scratcher looked like it would fit in nicely between the 2 front seats while parked somewhere and it does.It’s not wobbly at all and easy to put together. It comes with an allen key to tightening up the bolts.Luna seemed a bit scared of it, with it being something new and strange. I picked her up and showed her how to scratch on it and she ran off. After a couple of hours she walked by it and used it to scratch her claws on and I praised her. I later took her to the post and showed her the attached comb/brush for her to rub up on and she started doing that immediately. The dangling balls are tall enough for her to play with while sitting up on the dash where she plays with her other toys, away from the dog. I haven’t seen her play with the lower ball yet but she likes to be away from the dog while she plays because he likes to try to play with the toys with her.I would say this is a winner!

Love the height
Well i bought it less then a month ago, 3 weeks to be exact, it started coming apart About 4 days ago and it is starting to get worse, mind you this is kittens using it that are 12 weeks old, so tiny and not fully aggressive yet. Considering fixing it now before it gets any worse, but i just donât think it should be happening yet, so it was not put together well, canât imagine what mess itâll be when the kittens are full grown. My precious one for my older cats took 2 years to start this, and i wanted two pieces this time just in case it happen, expecting it eventually but not this soon. :/

Very easy to put together. Itâs sturdy, looks nice and has held up. My cat usually destroys these within a couple weeks from scratching, but so far he hasnât put a dent in it. The price is awesome, great product ð

This is our third scratching post. All three have come from Amazon. This one seems like a good deal for the money. The one that is the highest quality is more than twice the price (Ultimate Scratching Post-Gray, Large 32-Inch). The cats went after the balls as I was putting it together. Sisal rope is not one of those things that lasts forever, but with a variety of scratching posts and scratching toys throughout the house, that is not a dealbreaker.
