Large and useful compression packing bag
We purchased two sets of these items for travel to Germany for two weeks using Away brand carryon luggage. Despite doubts from our friends we packed two weeks of clothing into the cases easily.Once you place clothing in the bags and seal the edges like a Ziploc bag, you roll from the closing end and the bag compresses air out through some hidden vents in the opposite side of the bags. Interesting system Iâm still trying to locate !Th result is a vacuum packed clothing container we anou 1/3 the uncompressed volume depending on what you are packing.Inexpensive solution to a travel problem I can recommend.

Bought this product thinking it was multi sizes, but I got all large sized bags. Thatâs my fault because I was in a rush and only glanced at the package photo thatâs is showing other sizes available.However, I bought these and storage cubes including some compression storage cubes. These are the only ones I used on my trip to Hawaii. Iâm a plus size woman (important to keep in mind, only because my clothes have more material). I was able to squeeze in one swim cover-up, two dresses, a pair of bike shorts and a t-shirt into my carry-on thanks to this travel bag. Coming home I used it for three dresses. Iâm including a photo of the bag with three dresses (I could have fit more too), and a photo of the 3 dresses how I normally would pack them. Itâs not going to save a ton of room but as a chronic over-packer, it was worth it for me.Sealing it can be a bit of a pain, but with practice, itâs fine. Just donât over-fill the bag. I found folding it into squares/rectangles and making a little pile behind the line in the bag works best. Rolling your clothes to put in the bag is not going to work very well for getting the air out.When I did roll the air out I went one way first, then turned it over and rolled the opposite way.I would use these again. It might be more difficult for someone with hand weakness though just as a heads up. Not impossible and probably easier than the compression cubes.

Iâm so glad I got these. I never know how Iâll feel each day and like to pack options, but a carryon doesnât give me that freedom. I never bring checked bags with me. These shrink bags really helped me. Iâm a big gal so my close are a little bulky. I was able to fit 5 shirts, 3 jean shorts, one jean pants, 3 sleeping shirts, and 3 sleeping shorts, and a swim suit, 3 days of socks and underwear and my daily essentials bag in my 22â x 14â x 9â carry on.

I was under the impression that these bags could be vacuumed clothes. They are not. They are zipper and you have to sit on him to make all the air come out.

Bag measurements not helpful
The travel bag measurements are 18×22.5. These are NOT useful space measurements! The seams and closures on all sides are included in the measurements; not too big a loss, BUT. 2 1/4 inches are lost at the bottom of the bag AND 3 1/4 inches are lost at the top due to fill space and zipper closure. My item was 15 1/2 inches wide and 19 inches long. It should have fit easily according to the package. Nope. And just an aside to Hefty⦠the photo showing the rolling of the bag is wrong. You donât roll with the zipper inside, obviously the hand model or the photographer knew how to use the product. And your package stylist/designer had no clue either!

PACK SMARTER, NOT HARDER!
Iâve tried tons of competitor-brand vacuum seal bags but the Hefty brand always seems to stand the test of time far longer than others Iâve used. These are AMAZING. Aside from obvious uses such as storage, they’re lifesavers for travel & packing my suitcase. I never travel without them! I can cram three times as many clothes into one suitcase. ALSO, since I despise having dirty laundry floating around in my luggage during trip, I always pack a few extra empty bags into my suitcases. That way I can separate & vacuum seal any dirty laundry as it accumulates.Also note: make sure not to OVERFILL the bag to avoid breakage. I fold each item as flat as possible, stack then seal. I can fit about 10-12 size small shirts per bag. They make many diff size variations of this bag, both bigger & smaller. So if u require more space or u need to pack larger items such as jeans or jackets, u can always buy additional bags in the larger size dimension.
