Honestly, I donât know what the taste is because it doesnât taste like cinnamon. I just opened it a couple of minutes ago and not only is there not a cinnamon smell to it, the taste is really not very âcinnamonyâ either. Iâm buying this exclusively for health reasons – not to bake with. I previously bought Anthonyâs Ceylon Cinnamon, and it has the classic cinnamon smell and taste. Based on the smell and taste, I just canât give this five stars. I feel giving it four stars is a bit generous ð¤·ââï¸

The Saigon cinnamon is of no benefit except flavor. This one,Ceylon, is made from inside the cinnamon sticks. It is a powder, has a wonderful flavor and is the one that is beneficial to your health. This one does not float on top of a liquid such as coffee, it does leave some at the bottom of your mug but that last drink is so flavorful. I add about 1/2 Tsp of cinnamon to a mug of coffee along with 1/4 tsp of cummin and the flavor is so rich. It is a lighter color because of it is the inside, not the cinnamon bark. Love it .
