I bought these for a service trip to South Africa knowing we’d be away from reliable power sources for much of our time there. I wanted to be able to keep my phone charged up and with me. This was the best of all worlds — you can charge by plugging it in, solar and there is a hand crank. I don’t know how long you have to crank, but kinda cool to know it’s there. The best part is that there are charging cables with all of the proper connections attached to the unit — so no need to remember cables. There is also wireless charging available.It worked great on the trip. And since returning from Africa I have used this unit a few times to charge my iPad and phone simultaneously at a couple of different sports tournaments.The downside? It is literally the size of a brick. You can’t just stuff it in your pocket. It’s not huge, but it is more than significant than your standard powerbank. The solar charging is slow, but that is universal with all of these solar units.If you know those things going in, you’ll be super excited with this unit. I can already see myself using this in a power outage, camping trip, tailgate, and about a dozen other applications. Great purchase and works great, too.

Great for phone and other small fevice charging
I charge this thing up prior to camping or something else that might put me away from an outlet for an extended period of time. The only negative thing about it that I can think of is that it takes hours to get a full charge. I haven’t tried the crank feature either but I can imagine you’d get a workout trying to charge it with the crank.

Bought one and it looks good. Plastic around the hand crank is not a great fit. The wireless charging for my phone is excellent and a lovely feature. I had bought this as a charging source for when we don’t have electricity for a long time. The first one I got did not charge on solar at all. I had a half charge still on the device. After a few hours in the sun, it had gone to 1. I returned it as defective and had another one shipped to me. I tested the solar charging from 3/4ths full. Again, instead of charging, it seemed to discharge, and I was back to a blinking single blue light. Seems to be a good battery backup, but don’t count on the solar charging at all. I will try to recreate the discharge when in the sun and if it repeats may have to tape up the solar panels to prevent it from draining the battery.Update: Customer support from GOODaaa-US reached out right away to address my concerns. Upgraded rating to 4 stars as the company stands behind their products.

I absolutely love this product. Works amazing, Iâve taken cold camping and it holds a charge. Iâm able to get about 4 charges from my iPhone and my gf can get about 3 on her android so a total of about 7 ish before the battery is close to dying. Solar charging works ok, in a pinch but works better when charged from an outlet. Worth the money. I bit bulky for international travel, but not out of the question.

This is a really good charger I highly recommend it, we lose power often almost every time the wind blows hard or rain but oddly only on our side of the street! So we have used the charger at about maybe three times now when the power has gone out and it has worked really good you will not be sorry if you buy it

The â4-patriotsâ brand solar charges failed, two warped and 2 would not hold a charge. Itâs unfortunate that we, the consumers put money and trust into these products and in such a crucial moment they donât live up to the promises made by the company.
